Wild Turkey = much yumm... Jack Daniels and Jameson also yum... all neat, no ice or anything. All the really good stuff now far too expensive.
 
Jamesons is delicious.
Johnny Black also delcious,
johnny double black is Amazing,
Johnny red for when i cant aford the above.

Chivas 12yr is also nice.
Glen Fiddich 12 yr single malt is AMAZING
Johnny Blue makes me want to vomit.
My mate bought a bottle called "Laphroaig", one of the most hectic whiskeys i've had. SO smokey, actually not nice :/

All of the above on the rocks, and sometimes a splash of water. mmmmmmmmmmmm im gonna go have me a whisky and watch some cricket now

ya dude, i checked it at the Tops bottle store. think its officialy released now. Very keen to try it
 
Yeah I also noticed that with the higher up johhny. I once won 12k in the casino so I celebrated buying a shot of johnny blue, my word horrible

It's too sweet for my liking but would work really well as a mixer in "manly" cocktails. Might work as a summer "on-the-rocks" drink with some mint and lime. Like a snob's mojito...:D
 
I don't mind a johnny walker or Jameson once in a while, but do find myself at a distance with whiskey snobs who find every other drink as inferior.

Some drinks just taste better than others (to each individual)...

Sharing knowledge and discussing something doesn't necessarily make you a snob.
 
JW Black and Jamesons are my everyday drinks.

And if you need to add a dash, then it sucked to begin with (yes, all you Jack Daniels people :p)
 
Lol I know its illegal to dash whiskey, but if you have to what would you use?

I just use schweps lemonade

Oh and Grants also has a special place in my wine cupboard. One of the better blended whiskies.
I seldom splash/mix with anything but water.
My father like his whiskies with Diet Coke. He only buy the cheaper Scotch whiskies, like Royal Castle etc. He also don't like ice and don't mind if it's all room temp.

My dad mixes Bells with Tab :sick: I would think that these old timers should be teaching us a thing or two :wtf:
