Why do people smoke?

Now Peder, young man, let me help you with some more advice. You probably get this in Life Orientation class or whatever it is called, but anyway.

Sure smoking is bad. You might not make it past 90. But the real killer is SEX. Sex results in 44.5 times more deaths in SA annually than tobacco-related deaths. You could die from loss of blood after being beaten up by her pimp. You might contract the HIV virus, which is waaaaaay more fatal than nicotine. Or, even worse, you might get crabs!

Think about it!

no one has forced me to smoke and or drink and when i walked out of that guardroom saying goodbye to my army carreer, i was not hooked on drinking whatsoever.

I'm too rational to smoke. Smoking has a 50/50 chance of killing a smoker in the long run. I don't gamble on those sort of odds.
 
Smokers can smoke all they want.

There are some bad habits which a few of them have which irritates the bejeezuz out of non smokers though:
1. taking their kids with them in to smoking zones in restaurants,
2. throwing stompies all over the show. The world is not your ashtray
3. smoking in public places and somehow thinking their "right to smoke" outweighs my right not to inhale 2nd-hand smoke.

Other than that - smoke away my friends

And it stinks!! O hell it stinks!!
I was bad when i was a non smoker. (lived in bethlehem, friends had to stand in the snow and smoke. I didn't want to smell the smoke close to my door!!:D)

I think i'm going to be worse now....:eek:

this is the point i want to make, its just its like you guys get soo worked up on something stupid,

The whole thing is as someone here said just now to wayne is you've most probably never got laid, and if you just smoke and drink just to get laid thats just gross :sick:

I cannot believe it...
 
I also have stopped again! Stopped for almost a year and stupidly started again.. I smoked for 13 years..

It is a disgusting habit! It stinks, it looks terrible, it is unhealthy, it is expensive.. There is not one good thing about it!

It is just helluva addictive!

Never love someone so much that you will start smoking for them. They are suppose to love you back and tell you to not do it.

That is my stupid excuse.
I just couldn't kiss him...
