Why should I vote ANC?

I personally don't give to parts of a crap which party you vote for

It's your future and your kids future you are voting for. If you think the ANC is that for your family and your kids so be it.

And you where syaing something about generalizing..... You thinking that I'm a DA supporter is just that ;). You are just assuming that because I am anti-ANC I am DA. That my friend indicates more about the type of ANC metality than a 1000 books could ever do :D

*as I scratch my head thinking where I said I'm voting ANC*

And did I mention you? No, and I don't think I've seen a post where you said you were a DA supporter.

Nobody was saying we would vote ANC. Everyone on this thread has claimed to be educated. Intellect should deduce that everyone has a right to their own opinion and their own vote. So what is with all the crucifying?

Did I crucify anyone ?

All I said was that who ever votes for the ANC in the up coming election is too stupid to know any better. Yes, if you vote for the ANC after what they have done or lack there of, for this country means that you have no formal education what so ever.

You cannot call someone stupid if they vote ANC. For that reason an ANC voter can call you stupid for voting DA. Yet you would be offended by that. There is no logic. Freedom of choice is a vital part of democracy and who are you to judge?

If the DA wins and I voted for them and they fail very badly. And I vote for them again, the pls feel free to shoot me in the head and send my brain for medical research.

I would love to know how it is possible that an educated man can become so very stupid in a period of 5 years ;)

I vote for change and for the better of ALL South African's not because I am white or because because I think the leader should be white. (BTW I like Patricia de Lille :p So far she has my vote). Purely because if the DA and ID manage to get a win if they merge, then we will see things happen in this country ;)

I think it's time to give someone else a go at running the country so the people can see change does happen if Politicians are aware that they are only there if we allow them to be there ;)

That's the difference between you and i Marine1. I wouldn't call them anything. They are entitled to do as they wish. I can say i don't agree with their vote but i would never dream of calling them names. It's so petty.

I personally like to speak my mind, and call a spade a spade. I say it as I see it. No matter how it is viewed from the outside. 1+1=2 period.

de lille? the same one who desparately tried to unite with the ANC against Zille in Cape? rofl

The same de Lille that cracked open the Arms deal, the Same de Lille that is part of the current merger in Cape Town yes, that de Lille. I would love to see the DA and ID run this country together. What is wrong with that ?

I cannot vote for the ANC since I'm not prepared to tolerate the way they run the country for another 5 years.
Promising me free this and free that means nothing since the ANC cannot include with word QUALITY with the FREE promise. I know that nothing is free. I also know that free things are never as good at that which is not free. The ANC does not understand the concept of the word FREE; how on earth dare they use it to manipulate the desperate for votes?

I concede that the ANC has given lots of people that were previously oppressed the freedom to grow and flourish. That freedom is a given now and a right - now I'm looking for some decent governance.

I pay a lot of tax and VAT every day, yet as the days/weeks/years roll on I see more potholes, hear more stories about dropping water quality, read reports of municipal corruption, etc, etc. Every budget speech allocates more and more of the tax I pay to each of the motioned competencies to deliver a better service, yet from my perspective things are either staying the same, or getting a lot worse. Why on earth should I vote for a party who promises the world, yet delivers the worst?

I admit, my vote is based in getting rid of the ANC government. I don't want the "old days" back...the days of racial discrimination and oppression. I just can't take the way things are left to go to ruin anymore, all whist more and more of my tax gets thrown at the problem without result. I've decided that the ANC does know how to change things, but heaven knows they have absolutely no clue on how to build things, let alone run a country for that matter.

I can see how people vote for the DA in the Western Cape. If you talk to people actually living in the province, you quickly realise that things are run waaaay better then in other provinces. Why shouldn't I vote for the DA then? It seems like they're doing a good job with the little that they've got?

Thank you for your honesty...and you really think me and millions of my kind are willing to build a future with your type?

No! definately not if you posts refletcs your' true opinion/vision like below
See JustAsk claims all whites are criminals! Hopefully you are the minority portion of the ANC youth league militant section.

I can never agree with anybody who thinks ee and aa are wrong. How exactly do you correct the wrongs of the past.
We should not live in the past. We should look at the future and as a single nation move forward.
I agree..lets just free all criminals from jail and tell them we forgive them all.We will not live in the past and move forward with them.

So according to JustAsk All whites are criminals!

@ Penquin

This is one funny post of you.You show your true colours and now trying very hard to paint me too.:D

Dude, look at your post.Even the parts you quoted from me prove just the opposite of your claims.

This is some funny **** :D

My apologies to JustAsk and anyone else who was offended by some of the statements in this thread.
No need to apologise.

on the other hand some people are happy with mediocrity. its ok for them if their kids will one day attend schools with a messed up OBE system, which lets kids enter high school without being able to read.

perhaps they just dont know better.

I must say that i regret starting this thread. I am ashamed at what some of my 'own kind' have had to say. Penguin you were way out of line with your ignorant statement and quite frankly you disgust me. It is people like you that bring this beautiful country down.

My apologies to JustAsk and anyone else who was offended by some of the statements in this thread. It was not my intention to have a thread that just lambasts black people or ANC. Granted i'm not thrilled with how some things are run in this country but i am proud that the ANC lead the freedom fight and overcame adversity. Why the hell aren't you? What happened in 1994 was a great victory for us ALL.

wake up and see it!

I agree with what happened in 1994, I loved and still love Madiba for the man he is. What happened after that is the problem. Racist laws were/are introduced to "restore" the balance of power. Why must white South Africans, the minority, have laws to prevent them from making a decent life. Dont' take my word for it ask the many young guys, that had nothing to do with apartheid, how they battle to get a job and bursaries. Then JustAsk draw an analogy between White South Africans wanting to move forward, instead of living in the past and jailed criminals. Is that acceptable to you?

I do not see any need to apologise to someone drawing analogies between white folk and criminals, when I stated we should not to live in the past and move forward. So NO you painted yourself old chap. Rather explain what you meant by that analogy.

Then why do you call ANC voters uneducated, stupid, illiterate people? Maybe things are better for them compared to the previous regime.

FF+ then :)

Normally its only better for them for a few months before the election when their votes are "Bought" then for the next four years they are forgotten while the leaders and their friends/party faithfulls scoop all the benefits, some even fraudulently

You have to admit that most of the ANC's voter masses are uneducated and/or illiterate people. I dissagree stongly with "stupid" maybe just misinformed that would lead to the stupidity of voting for the party that will bring them no better future.

I went home (rural areas of Limpopo) last week and I never saw any other poster, campaigning or anything other than that of ANC. Political parties can't depend only on the media to campaign. 80% of Limpopo is rural and we all know what they are gonna vote for. The DA is mostly prevalent in Western Cape. So you tell me if a person who hasn't seen any DA (or any other party) representative to vote for them.

how can you say what you said to Justask about voting out of pity if you loved Madiba and what he stood for? that is a complete contradiction penguin.

I made that statement after the ***** stated that he see us whites as criminals due to apartheid. Do you concurr with that?

I do pity him and those that still think like him. It was clear from his posts and urgumentative attitude that he is still busy with the struggle that ended 15 years ago. For him it will never end. I stated lets forget the past and move on together in the future and his comment was to likened it with releasing and forgiving all criminals and move forward with them. That will never happen he insinuated. What did he mean? Clearly he is an racist prick and I really pity him. He and Malema suit each other well.

Then he is a liar too, claims he will vote for COPE but defends the ANC policies here. The ANC themself rejected COPE and called them unkind names.
