Why should I vote ANC?

I must say that i regret starting this thread. I am ashamed at what some of my 'own kind' have had to say. Penguin you were way out of line with your ignorant statement and quite frankly you disgust me. It is people like you that bring this beautiful country down.

My apologies to JustAsk and anyone else who was offended by some of the statements in this thread. It was not my intention to have a thread that just lambasts black people or ANC. Granted i'm not thrilled with how some things are run in this country but i am proud that the ANC lead the freedom fight and overcame adversity. Why the hell aren't you? What happened in 1994 was a great victory for us ALL.

As it is very clear to a normal highschool educated person what is happening to this country. Be it as it may, Whites and Blacks will not be able to live in harmony till they have the same goals to work at. Which in Africa will never happen. My Black african brothers can take a step back and look at what their fellow brothers and sisters in America is doing right now. They are all fighting the same cause.

But in SA the ANC big guns live it up and the masses suffer :p

Shame on them for keep voting in the ANC. What you people fail to realise is that you hold the power of vote. If everyone votes for the ID or what ever party this year and they fail, you have lost 5 years. Coming next election you vote for another party and give them a shot at it. You people voting for the ANC are giving them the comfort they are having now, they know that you are too stupid to realise that you are the people with the power and not them.

It's like having a dog, it will do what ever you ask it to do because you feed it at night. Even if you kick the dog for no reason he still obey you because you are is master.

The ANC has millions of dogs and the dogs are to stupid to jump the fence and find a new loving home.

It's so sad and very true in the same breath

No it was a victory for a small few, same as the broederbond. So what, people have the vote....big deal. I dont see how the majority's lives have improved at all. Wonder why we have so many demonstrations and marches for lack of service delivery. :rolleyes:

Yes but this gvt are full of criminals and run this country like their own personal bank account. I am sick of the corruption and lawlessness. Yes all gvt's have problems but at least some of them try to fix the small things.
What has this gvt done for me? Nothing except make me live in fear.
But I suppose thats their aim.

If gvt cannot control farm murders, crime, etc then they are either involved or just dont care. Either way they are responsible for the safety of this nation

It's called a comfort zone

The second they realise that there is no way of getting them out, they can catch on all kind of shyt with no actions taken. If however they need to actually do good to ensure they retain the next 5 years then you will see changes.

The ANC knows the masses will vote for them out of pure stupidity so they can what ever they like. When the ANC realises that their power is in trouble even if they just lose the seat for one election, then you will see things start to happen. SA is currently in exactly the same boat as ZIM.

Bob can do what ever he likes, he knows the people will vote for him and there is no way he can get out of office. That is why ZIM is failing so bad, if only they had competition. Look at the USA. They have 2 parties, if the one fails the other gets elected. This ensures that they stick to their promises if they want office again.

Learn to use the brains you where given. Don't let a turd with no brains (Zuma & Malema) tell you who to vote for ;)

I agree with some of your statements, but generalizing has never helped anybody. It definitely will not win the DA any votes from these uneducated illiterate people.

There are good and bad white/black people in this country, BUT looking at this thread, I'm not sure if voting for the DA will benefit me as a African person...if this is what the DA people represent, as illustrated in this thread.

So a black person will rather vote for ANC than the DA, even if they are not happy with the ANC. SAD. If I was an influential person, what do you think I would say to "my" people regarding what party they should vote?

Yeah, I would also not vote for the DA becuase of the stuff said by DA supporters on this forum, and something tells me there are a LOT more out there that think the same way. :rolleyes:
 
I think many voting for the ANC are quite selfish.

they obviously are too self involved to bother caring about the type of education their kids will receive in the future or whether their kids will be safe playing in a park or even if they will be able to access decent healthcare if/when their kids are ill.

all they see are the promises of hairdryers and washing machines if they vote ANC. then they wonder why people call ANC voters "empty upstairs".


its the sort of narrow mindedness we see persist within the ANC.
its all about me, my vision, my, my ,my.

I personally don't give to parts of a crap which party you vote for :rolleyes:

It's your future and your kids future you are voting for. If you think the ANC is that for your family and your kids so be it.

And you where syaing something about generalizing..... You thinking that I'm a DA supporter is just that ;). You are just assuming that because I am anti-ANC I am DA. That my friend indicates more about the type of ANC metality than a 1000 books could ever do :D

You can see that the ANC is doing nothing and I mean nothing for the people of SA in the last 5 years. All they did was fill their own pockets a little more.

If you vote for them after seeing the above what would you call yourself then ?

Nobody was saying we would vote ANC. Everyone on this thread has claimed to be educated. Intellect should deduce that everyone has a right to their own opinion and their own vote. So what is with all the crucifying?
 
You cannot call someone stupid if they vote ANC. For that reason an ANC voter can call you stupid for voting DA. Yet you would be offended by that. There is no logic. Freedom of choice is a vital part of democracy and who are you to judge?
