WiFi security cameras

If the cloud recording works then I will convert immediately. Ezviz is nice, not nearly as good picture quality as Uniview, but I'd take vandal resistant recordings over 4K image quality.

Cloud recording is the future. I wish Uniview would offer the ability natively, but for now they do allow me to record via RTSP to my own server, but you lose the AI functionality.

So very keen on your experience if cloud is in fact available in SA.

You can achieve the same thing by using your NAS (like a Synology) as your NVR for your IP cameras and then setting the NAS up to backup your recordings to Amazon S3 automatically. This way you don't have to use Ezviz's dumbed-down cameras, and you can guarantee that nobody is looking at your footage on some mysterious server located god-knows-where.

I have a Synology, but I don't think uniview is compatable.

What cameras would you recommend?

I use Hikvision and Reolink cameras. You generally want any camera that is ONVIF compliant. The problem with a lot of brands like Ezviz, etc is that they are not ONVIF compliant and therefore can only work in their own closed ecosystem.

I am going to try again, I might have missed something

PS: The Google Nest cameras are epic , but doesn't work in SA.

I just checked my Synology Surveillance Station, and there's a long list of Uniview cameras that are supported by Synology.

Im looking for a wifi camera to use on my balcony. I want to capture video of mice which seem to visit at night, but I can't identify where they are coming from. Any recommendations?
