The other thing is why i don't like dstv anymore.you pay so much ****ing money for repeated content.if they want to keep their customer flow they need to update their movie and show contents because who still wanna watch blade runner whom i watched when i was a kid and now still in your 50's you must still watch that ****.i mean come on.that's why people turn to android tv boxes where they get a whole lot of variety to choose from.even your internet/fibre connection are way more less than what you pay monthly on your dstv subscription.i will actually say.down with dstv.they are exploiting our people

No I will not boycott DSTV. They have every right to curb the freeloaders. DSTV remains one of the most affordable methods of entertainment in South Africa. Only one person in my household stream at the moment at any time.
My stance exactly

I cancelled DSTV at the beginning of this month and went with Netflix and Amazon Prime. However, with the invasion of the Ukraine, I now miss the fact that I cannot stay up to date with the developments by way of CNN or BBC or Sky News.

I looked around but cannot find any other proper news channel on Android TV.

Maybe I will subscribe to DSTV again...
Fox News live on YouTube

^ See if you can get Sky News live via YouTube - works on any device for us. (Very short ads, not intrusive).

Compared to what? Netflix, Amazon Prime and a few streamed pay-per-views a month a far better value proposition for me. What am I missing. Share your secret sauce….

Old content repeated endlessly. Less new foreign content. Try and connect your brand new explora to your existing old tv cables linked to existing xtra view decoder. Told that multiple tv’s in all my rooms are part of the sharing problem and i must wake up to new technology and change cables to hdmi

I suppose if you are employed by media24 or Naspers they give you a subscription for R300 and that includes multiple subscriptions. I would think they are the only ones who subscribe to DSTV

In a recent announcement DSTV has stated they will only allow one concurrent stream in a bid to combat password sharing and piracy. In light of this will you join the call to boycott the service or do you agree with, or are unaffected by, their decision?
My issue with this restriction is, while I am watching sport on the TV, my wife is watching catch-up on her iPad and my daughter is streaming kids programs. Now one of us isn't going to be happy and I see that it is me. I would give up the tv so my daughter can watch. If I cannot watch sport on DStv, I don't see the need to keep DStv
