My download started around 1AM, finished with the installation around 2. Can't wait to get home to play around with it.

which OS ever released without bugs?

and do you think an OS that is now "free" has been given enough attention. i beg to differ..

I can already install Windows 10, but need to backup all my laptops first .

I updated from windows 7 everything was already downloaded took about 30 minutes pc rebooted two or three times and Hung on a Hi! screen. Hard reset the pc and everything is running better than in 7 might be my imagination but it's definitely faster.

My download took 2 hours.

For past 40 minutes it's been stuck on this screen. Progressbar still the same position

Wrong. The OS actually uses less ram.

My upgrade to Windows 10 has failed four times so far this morning, after it downloaded in the background over the last couple of days. Frustration! It's like ripping open your long awaited present as a kid, only to see the dreaded words "Batteries not included".

I'm playing safe and will stick to 8.1 for the moment on my gaming pc, might update an old win7 box to give it a go.
