how long did this take for other people?

whole thing took less then half an hour... i7 dell...

Nothing on my Dell laptop so far...tried the wuauclt.exe /updatenow trick but nothing.

Try it twice. That worked for me.

That stage took 50 minutes for me. Same time it took for the installation

Mine is sitting at this stage now. There is a download still going on at about 4Mbit/s from Akamai, so I'm guessing it may be downloading updated drivers ahead of the installation?

Downloaded that tool , ran it and chose the option that says upgrade this PC now. The window just closes and well nothing else. The folder "$WINDOWS.~BT" seems to not be growing

My $Windows.~BT is sitting at 5.90GB but Windows update isn't reflecting any available updates.

Using wuauclt.exe. /updatenow doesn't seem to help either. Guess I'm playing the waiting game.

Is this process applicable to domain computers, can i use these tools to upgrade a domain joined machine? I have temporarily disabled downloading of updates from WSUS and pointed directly to Microsoft but yeah BT folder is not growing. Checked for updates and i have all installed

My one pc Windows 7 x64 pro fresh install is on a domain and connected fine, update started to download.

My Dell on the other hand does not have fresh install of Windows 7 x64 on it and been having issues, finally got it all working after uninstalling almost every application i had installed.

Seems it checks what applications might not be compatible with Windows 10 before it allows you to proceed.

My PC is like a week old butttttttttt, i have already installed a number of applications sigh. Busy downloading the ISO and download is going quite fast, but i'd prefer it if i could just upgrade this thing. Will see how it goes

Been running Windows 10 RTM for about a week now and impressed so far. Noticed a few system slow downs when running Edge browser for a while, only rebooting fixes it. I did not get the same issues when using IE11 which is still hidden in Program files. Will hopefully get fixed with an update soon. I still like Edge, just not the slow downs
