Thats the thing, on XP I was using Automatic Wallpaper changer, and it gave me the option to ope the image up for editing, delete and etc.
Doesn't that take up RAM, a bit of CPU process in the background? I usually just uninstall and disable any startup items that isn't essential or useful.

I use Johns Backgroundswitcher in Win 7 and it does most of the functions you mentioned above.
I bought a Gigabyte Laptop the Q1580L and for some strange reason when watching videos while running on battery power the screen makes white and black lines every now and again. Only happens when using windows media player, and i checked it is the latest version. Played same movie with VLC media player and worked fine.
Don't ever use windows media player ever
use Vlc or k-lite codec pack
help, ive got windows 7 basic. i can only play movies with windows media player. can`t play my tv tuner card or any other dvd software like power dvd.
do i have to upgrade to home basic or the bussiness version? i think my graphic card is not compatable, but with the windows 7 evaluation copy everything was running smoothly.
PM if you guys have any suggestions.
geez its not that bad (once you add K-lite of course)

actually 7 is seeing and using all 3GB of RAM--the balance of the 2.86GB is proly going to video graphics--
my onboard eats 256mb but then why does it report 3gb?
