When I was still a student at Wits, back in 1998, there was one computer lab running something like Windows X. For those who have been at Wits, it is a Science postgraduate lab on second floor in Senate House which was accessed by a pin number-lock. Does anyone know what OS was it?
That was the coolest operating system I knew. It must have been a Linux or Unix because the command line interface was not an MSDOS, and was not a Mac either.
I will only be installing Ubuntu this weekend on my PC and I am hoping it has similar features to that Windows X.
