Anyone running it on it?
Any driver issues or problems at all?

I've heard and read it is better/easier on resources for slower systems - so better than Windows 7 on a HP Microserver?

I'm running it no problem on my Microserver no problem (Windows Server 2008 R2, 8GB RAM). You might struggle if you're relying on the on-board graphics, but if you have a dedicated card it should run great.

I want it Apple TV smooth ;)

I have a small card (GT210) and 4GB RAM running Windows 7. While I have no issues, it could be smoother - especially when a heavier skin is loaded

Hi

I am running XBMC on Windows 8 in a Microserver with 4GB ram. Using ATI 5450 though.
Actually, dual boot setup with Windows 7. Windows 8 running of virtual hard drive configuration.

No problems with XBMC. No driver issues. Really smooth. Not using heavy skins or anything.

Windows 8.1 has issues with the NIC in the older Bios. Taken me 3 hours to work this out ;)

But just updated my Bios and attempting again

only problem I have encountered, is that when watching a series, if I want to view next episode, the whole program freezes

I have to then end program in task manager and restart :(

haven't tried yet to see if I can start a movie and then try and switch to another
