Xbox 360 Blu-ray rumour debunked

IAP - WTF? Show me this 8 channel sound, please. We discussed this last time ... about 10% of Blu Rays actually have 8 channel. Most have 5.1 lossless *shrug*

a) Stop mentioning price and getting overly sensitive

b) Stop sulking and defending your console because it doesn't work for everyone and not everyone likes it to the same degree

c) Show me all these 8 channel tracks on the BR movies ; I only see 10% of titles

d) Read the thread I posted earlier, and admit that you did not correct me (it's in black and white) and that you only started to back peddle later

e) Please explain how it didn't work correctly in my system? You've said it 10x - and I do not understand you.

f) Please understand that not everyone needs to have an HD TV. If I bought one a year ago - who cares? Same goes for a month or a week ago

g) Admit you can not notice the difference between lossy and lossless formats on your system - or at best, it's marginal if your ears are super fantastic

I was stating to an Xbox owner that My PS3 can do DTS HD master when you jumped in and changed the topic to a Bitsream vs Your HT system farce.

Of course you was trying to brag, also prove me wrong and in all that you failed miserably. I still say the PS3 do DTS HD master sound decoding and you are trying to argue that away with your own requirement of "RAW bitsreaming passthrough" that the old PS3 could not do. Yet the PS3 do the decoding and pass the bitstream via LPCM to my receiver and it works fine but for the indication that it is receiving the required information via the LPCM bitstream to effectively reproducing LOSSLESS DTS HD Master sound (Just like any HTPC and ATI 4XXX GPU does it). Try it, you will stand in AWE. Oh sorry, you cannot do it, NO PS3 and the XBOX in your rack CANNOT do it or anyting else for that matter, well gaming admitted Ok!

Thanks for admitting that you talk HD but just like with the 100HZ TV issue you never experienced it, really, you are still working towards it.

As for 8 Channel DTS master HD decoding on the PS3 Google and be amazed in AWE.

Let's take a step back and see what was posted :

I doubt serious home theatre users would use a PS3 at their decoder or Blu Ray player of choice. It's a nice to have - sure - but enthusiasts will go for something a little more decent on the home theate side. PS3 is like a jack of all trades, master of none.

Pretty much like Sony speakers : they do the job, but no one serious about home theater even considers them

Anyway - can this beast at least output bitstream yet .... ? All well and good having a 4 year old machine decoding TrueHD or DTS-HD MA, but I'm pretty sure sure R10,000 amplifers now can do a better job with the progress of technology.

And with lack of bitstream, how is one supposed to 'pull' the bits of the Blu Ray and pass over to a decent decoder?

No but millions of aspiring HT owners that could not afford a "real" HT system may be serious to at least start somewhere thus they use the PS3 which has the capability {and was proven until recently to be one of the best available} and a Sony or other enty level sound system with the now affordable LCD screens to start, just to be badmouthed by an individual that boasted he had a 100k SYSTEM that would outperform his Ps3/Sony based system. Yet that individual did not even have an HT setup, an aspiring one yes, Congrats, but when you boasted and shot me down you did not even yet have a HD TV, neither a 8 channel system neither a BluRay player nor a DTS HD master capable system but you came over the expert and denied all PS3 owners that use their systems effectively as an entry system by claiming it is shiite, its all a lie and you know better, I just wonder if by Google , forum talk or experience?

Its true what you said about Yoursef! You like to argue a point untill you really experience the fact or difference. So far I cannot see that you experienced HD HT sound and are only starting with HD Video, therefore the lack of titles you peceive to exist. (Forget about upscaling)

Just leave my posts when I relate my experience and stop baiting untill you grew up with some real experience.

Oh - and regarding knocking people on their equipment? Keep in mind how *you* knocked many owners for being cheap, cheapskates, can't afford anything decent and how you told me that I probably don't own a HT system etc

PS My old Marantz did 7.1 a few years back ...

oWNING AN arcade WITHOUT hARDDRIVE, (dAMN cAPS) etc, and claim, as you guys always did, that it is cheaper and betetr than the PS3, without comparing apples(FEATURES) with apples(features) is well just ..... damn cheapskate.

O my, I said I will not entertain You anymore. Sorry! Go play some music or hunt for a true HD DTS master 7.1 channel HD title that can make you get the experience! :D

I gave you a site with many titles to view. If you are not capble in doing that (no use as you only have 5.1?) then at least get a decent title with DTS HD master 5.1 sound! Can you do that?
