Xbox Live SA

I also own the ASUS DSL-N14U, and can't connect to Xbox Live.

By reading everything everybody posted the only solution is to buy a new router?

Or is there anything I can do to make the Asus work (already tried naeem's mother of all methods, and didn't work)
I've tried everything possible and I cannot get Xbox live to connect with the Asus N14u anymore. It's probably best just to get a new modem. At the moment I'm using the Huawei b315 on Telkom Lte without issues.

Has anyone found a workaround for the xbox one not connecting to live?

I Also had an Asus DSL-N14U at the old place I stayed at and never had any issues.
Moved to a new place about 6 months ago applied for a new line and used the Telkom Huawei Router no issues.

Upgraded my line to VDSL so got the Asus DSL-AC52U I remember my xbox connecting the first 2 days.
And ye same problem described by everyone did a factory reset the power thing and all that cannot get it to connect.
What is annoying is that my 360 and PC connects to live without any problem.

So basically my Xbox one is Hodor.

I also had the same issue, I tried everything, nothing seemed to work. Contacted TelkomZA and I think he reset my port and problem solved. It looks very much a Telkom issue. Cause if you use a moble device it works.

Well lets see will log a call with Telkom now.

Ok so I have done some testing with this.
Resetting the ports do not work also assuming Telkom did actually reset the ports.

I have found a workaround that works for me considering you will never have a power failure ;)
I will also mention that yes it appears to be a problem with the ASUS routers as I have tested it on 2 models and only affects the XBOX One.
Forwarding the ports and configuring your NAT to be open does not resolve anything.
It appears to be a problem with the xbox initializing a connection to live.

The quickest and easiest way around this problem is to configure your phone with "Mobile Hotspot and Tethering"
Enable "Mobile Hotspot" and connect to the hotspot with your XBOX One.
It will connect to live and once connected you are good now you can change your network settings back to the usual wifi or cable.
The catch is you need to change power savings mode to "Instant On".
If your xbox loses power or is switched off with the other setting you will have to redo the process above.

Hope this helps other people experiencing the problem and lets hold thumbs this is resolved within the next couple of weeks not sure who will solve it but ye....

Okay guys dont know if this is the same issue you guys are having, but everytime i try and put a game on for my son or he tries, we get the Profile does not have the correct permission to access xbox live. I then have to switch off and back on again to get it to work.

He has permission to play online multiplayer games, and my xbox live subscription is active. Any ideas?
