Xbox Series X / S

I'm happy with my XBox Wireless Headset. However I'd still go with a Steelseries Arctis 7X or 9X rather but they cost a lot more.

Overall though I'm happy with my headset. In the beginning it sounded a bit different to what I'm used to because they are more bass heavy. But you can change it in the equaliser. I decided to just stay with the default settings and I got used to it. Apparently many gaming headsets are bass heavy apparently. I know people say the same of the Kaira Pro.
Any technical issues over time? I want this to last me the entire gen. 2k for a mic is steep for me, I don’t really care about the in depth audio stuff but more rather the mic and build

Also how is the better health/ depreciation

I don't know about the mic since I don't use it at all. I only play single player games.

I've had no technical issues and I'm not sure how long the battery lasts. I just charge it every now and then.

Just finished The Ascent, what a blast.

Pity I couldn’t complete “The Dark Horse” side mission, as I think that is the only thing outstanding.

now for a quick break until Psychonauts 2

How come? I know it's glitched but luckily for me it wasn't. Though to be honest it doesn't matter, completed everything in the game and about 4 or 5 achievements just didn't unlock that were supposed.

Would just never complete the mission. You'd clear the area, see Ubi on the floor next to the car, but it would never progress. Tried multiple quit to menu -> reload, which did fix some other minor glitches I had.

Put it out my head now, or it will drive me crazy :giggle:

Aaah, so I was just lucky, but anyway I completed all 12 main missions and 28 side missions no achievement

holy crap that grey controller looks nice

Don't think they gonna sell that separate :(

I am actually very happy with my Camo red. Would not mind getting a Serververse Xbox controller for Player 2.

Edit: looking back Aqua-shift might not be bad for player 2 either... I just know I want something blue-ish.

The plebs must wait their turn...

Hi all

new to this thread, I currently have the PS 4 and I am looking at getting into Xbox for the game pass. I am trying to decide if I should get the Xbox series x or the series s. This might be long but please hear me out.

I currently game on a 46 inch Samsung 1080P TV, I have a 4K tv in the lounge which I could use but not for daily gaming. I know the series x is like 5k more, but if it is worth it for the length of this consoles life then I can save for it. I will be gaming daily on which ever console I get on a 1080p screen for at least the next 6 month to a year. I play mostly Call of Duty and enjoy the driving games as well.

The series S for the price seems good but I don't want to think in like a years time "should have got the series X"

Stock is also an issue with the series x????

WHAT TO DO???????????

Well I have PS5 DE + Series S to have access to both platforms.

Financially it made sense for me (R7K + R10K) vs (R13K + R13K) and I have both connected to 58" 4k Samsung. The Series S is set to permanent upscale to 4K, and I have no complaints. Sitting on the couch 2-3M away, I could not be bothered by real 4K vs upscaled.

Whichever route you take (Series S or X) GamePass is a must and the reason the PS5 don't get much love.

Then again take this from someone that still rocks SNES/Sega/PS2/PS3 games on a 1080p TV <-- so there is that.

Dont forget the Gold -> Gamepass trick.

Hey AlphaJohn

Thanks for the reply, not sure what to do, thanks for the link for the Gold ->Gamepass was not sure how that worked? The series X is like hens teeth so might have to go with the series S

You will always have that feeling, especially when games start using the hardware more and start becoming exclusively next-gen. You don't want to be playing at 800p/30FPS when you know you could at the very least get 1080p/60FPS (given your TV).

It'll come back into stock at the normal price, just keep checking. It doesn't sell out as quickly as it used to...

Personally I would recommend the X over the S unless financially it doesn't make sense or you are planning to own both.

Dont ever rush buy.... If you want an X wait for an X to become available. S is not bad... but its not an X.

In my case: If I had a do-over I would have Gone Series X + PS4 Pro.
