I game on both switch and the ROG

The ROG is more for games like Spider-Man, Cyberpunk, Forza.

Switch for games like Metroid, Capcom fighters and Zelda.

I spend more time on my switch to be honest.

The ROG Xbox Ally X is pricey enough as it is without paying a scalper double.

Your esports scene they use wired controllers to keep the controller latency down for certain inputs. Especially in esports fighting games.

i dont know why i want it cos maybe the reviews say its stronger than xbox ones

and series S controllers are gone crazy expensive also they dont last long anymore
 
Changes to GP, we all knew a price increase was coming, will see what the increase is in ZAR cause the article quotes $$$$. They claim 75 day one games on ultimate, per year. I actually had a look at core the other evening, there were some decent titles in there.

The changes:
Xbox Game Pass is undergoing major changes in October 2025, including new tier names, more game access, expanded cloud streaming, new perks, and a significant price increase for the Ultimate plan.

New Tier Structure and Names:
Game Pass Core is now called "Essential"Game Pass Standard becomes "Premium"Game Pass Ultimate retains its name but is heavily upgraded

Pricing Changes:
Ultimate: From $19.99 to $29.99 per month (a 50% increase)
Premium: Stays at $14.99 per month
Essential: Remains at $9.99 per month
PC Game Pass: Continues at $16.49 for current users, but new signups are restricted.

New Features and Enhancements:
Ultimate now offers over 400 games, 75+ day-one releases per year, Ubisoft+ Classics, Fortnite Crew, higher-quality cloud gaming (1440p), and improved rewards (up to $100/year in points)

Premium provides over 200 titles (console and PC), unlimited cloud streaming, and in-game perks once exclusive to Ultimate. However, it no longer includes day-one releases; instead, new Xbox-published games are added within a year—except Call of Duty

Essential features 50+ curated titles, unlimited cloud access, and a better games library at the same price��.More than 45 new games (including Hogwarts Legacy, Diablo IV, and many Ubisoft titles) added with these changes.

Restrictions and Notable Shifts:
Day-one games are now exclusive to the Ultimate tier; Premium and Essential get new games after a delay.

PC Game Pass is still available to current users but will not be offered to new ones; day-one PC releases will be restricted to the Ultimate tier.

Xbox Cloud Gaming is no longer in beta and is now available on all tiers except PC Game Pass.

Rewards and Perks:
Upgraded rewards system:
Play games to earn up to $100/year in Microsoft Store points (Ultimate); Premium gets up to $50/year.
Perks like Fortnite Crew and Ubisoft+ Classics are now bundled with Ultimate

 
They butchered pc gamepass too.

Now if I want day one games I go from paying R119 to R349…
