Xbox Series X / S

I think I'll also cancel.
Most of the games I play at the moment, I own
 
MS wants Gamepass to be its own version of Netflix.

Xbox has lost the hardware console wars over the last two generations and there is absolutely no benefit for them continuing to go up against PS and Nintendo anymore.

Personally, I would rather have third party companies design hardware on which Steam, Gamepass etc runs.
 
Is this what the PlayStation fanboys want ? No more Xbox, just PlayStation only and no competition and or competitive prices ?

There’s always been a great divide between the two.

Xbox should focus on handhelds now, that’s the way of the future, portable gaming units with cloud gaming.

If Microsoft kills the Xbox, it will be game over for me and console gaming. Sony without competition is gonna be a nightmare. (See 2006's PS3 for $599)

The only saving grace for me would be if Valve dropped a console version of the Steam Deck. Sadly, they need to sort out the Anti-Cheat problem on SteamOS before the masses adopt it.

If the Xbox OS for the Handheld becomes something that you can install freely, it can also work. Windows 11 as it stands now, is not Controller/TV/gaming-friendly

Exactly but the hardware is still limited to desktop GPU's. If these companies can partner with AMD etc to acquire the same chipsets used in consoles such as the Series X or PS5 then they can manufacture a console like device which can run said Xbox OS or Steam OS.

I don’t play online gaming like fartnight, call of Julie and Battlefail so the anti cheat doesn’t bother me.

If I did play that I’d play on a pc with keyboard and mouse not on handheld.

MS basically came out soon afterward and said they continuing with hardware and said to go back to the official AMD/Xbox statement released a while back.

But can understand why people would jump on a tweet from a fanboy such as MBG, all the negativity around the brand right now, it's one rumour that many would believe.
