Xbox Series X / S

Seems like a they are trying to bait people into becoming nedbank clients. You can't just buy with your credit card, you have to register and fica for an AVO Wallet (and they send you an sms "we have received a request to open a new nedbank account with you ID number"). But you can use any bank's card and charge/load your AVO wallet, then buy items from the store.

No mention of fees. I'm just stuck getting FICA'ed and get an error saying I have to go to a nedbank branch.

Looks like they got new stock in this morning - still on special

I keep checking back 'cos I missed out on the sweet play and charge kit deal.

It doesn't seem to want to straight charge my FNB credit card but (I have been told) I must load my wallet from the credit card.
The charge to card rarely works for me, and I bank with them. I have reverted to topping-up my wallet first, before purchasing stuff.

Also, I have been unable to get past the "wallet upgrade" with all the personal questions for loans I don't have (ID theft alert???). Ps. I don't bank with Nedbank
No ID theft, it is anti-ID theft measures, designed to protect you, by asking questions with a mixed bag of answers. By asking if you are married to Zuma, and throwing in a question about the balance of that loan/card/account that you don't have, it decreases the chances that someone could 'guess' the questions right and open an account in your name.

No baiting - they opened up a wallet for you, and there are no fees etc.

I also struggled to upgrade as a Nedbank client. Their app is not the most stable I've ever seen.

I've been fortunate then - even been able to link my Greenbacks shopper card to the wallet without issues.

Just to make it clear, it was quite bad in the beginning, and it is much better now. The website/app still does not have a 100% hit rate when it comes to showing the correct, reduced top-up amount though, after clicking the box confirming that you want to use your avo points. Sometimes it shows the pop-up asking if you want to use your avo-points, but this has also been inconsistent. I now simply work out the difference, and rather process a top-up before finally checking out.

How much was it? eBucks has it for R379
R399

Don't get the One S. It's on its way out and new games coming out in a few years won't be playable on it.

The Series S will be supported throughout this generation...

Go with the Series S but if you have any doubts there's no harm in waiting other than paying an extra R1000

In my view that is not an option at all....

An already underperforming CPU with DDR3 ram and limited architecture will age quicker than you think esp in a year from now when all the new games being released for "next gen"
