Xiaomi Note 3 now R1899

Anyone using FNB sim in their Note 3? Mine is almost unusable. Speedtest gives a network communication error 80% of the time. Any settings I need to change or is this normal for FNB.
I had the same experience. Hopped back to MTN and now use afrihost for mobile data. There are just too many hassles with FNB connect.

Thanks, just reset my phone with no change. Can they really be this useless? I can understand if it's slow, but just randomly stops connection???

A week into Nitrogen, it's been solid and I'm enjoying! When do we think Android O will hit our device?
In my experience with custom roms... Even when it does come out, you want to hang back on the first few builds. With anything new in life, there's teething issues.

How often are new Nitrogen apps released and do they actually get delivered through OTA? I'm on 20170523 ATM

Thinking of ordering a Note4 again - the 4A is olding out nicely - but want something with a bit more grunt.

there are so many versions, I just looked earlier - which would be the best to choose? global vs international version difference?

Has the camera improved on the Nitrogen build? As I played with the phone on MIUI7 and the camera wasn't bad, but when upgrading to MIUI 8 it dropped in quality, night shots did become a bit more pixelated.
So far coming from an LG G4 to this, I do miss the tap screen to unlock, the camera as well. But things I don't miss, even with MIUI 8 it's quite quick, the screen doesn't dim for no reason and also the angles are better for viewing, even though the screen isn't QHD.
The battery is bloody amazing, I charged it on Saturday, I only had to charge it again yesterday at 6pm, compared to the LG G4 if I charged it on Saturday I'd have to have charged it about 6-8 hours later and so on.
The build is so so, I received my device with one of the home buttons rear light not working, the button still works but the light doesn't, would've returned it, but it still works. Also the screen strength doesn't seem to be great, my wife dropped hers from the a minuscule height and it cracked quite a lot, the bezel is quite large on the top and bottom compared to my LG.

Just wait before you go Gearbest, as they have problems using any DHL option.

Unless you wanna go the Post office Gamble that is.

I just checked out the Redmi note 4x on Gearbest and Geekbuying. The Gearbest ones seems to have a Mediatek CPU, and all the info I seem to get, is that the 4x should be Snapdragon. Is that right? I've heard of people that got fake phones from them before....
Geekbuying is Snapdragon, though.

All note 4X's use to be SD625's but I did hear that they going to release MTK ones as well, also some Note 4's are MTK and others are SD625's. In the Note 4 thread I did post the difference between the Note 4 MTK, Note 4 SD and Note 4 x's.

As for Gearbest They sell both the MTK and SD versions, as well as the Note 4X you just have to look closly at the descriptions on which is which.

Never heard of anyone buying a fake phone off them, not under false pretenses. As for their shipping its a hit or miss at the moment seeing that new laws came into play re Lith batteries. If you get a staff member that knows what they are doing your product gets the needed warning stickers and shipped with ease, if you don't well you get a full refund after many tries to communicate.

Also you can now buy the Note 4 in SA as its officially available here now. See https://mia.africa.com/za/redmi-phones/redmi-note-4-32gb/redmi-note-4-32gb-black

Sorry, I just read my post again and I actually wanted to say "fake rom" and not fake phone. Don't know where my mind was.
I am a long time supporter of Geekbuying. Been buying from them for almost 2 years now. A lot of stuff. Except for some items I had to wait for a bit longer than usual, everything came through as expected.

Also, I bought my wife a Mi MAX from Takealot. It arrived yesterday. Think I'll skip the 4 and get me one of those. It's really something to behold, a bloody awesome phone.

My primary microphone stopped working seemingly overnight, anyone had this issue?

Related, has anyone returned their wechat phone to Incredible yet? What was the experience?

I'm sure I saw someone else talking about a similar problem and that it was a tiny wire that came loose.
