XP SP3 Local Download

The MS download (when available) should go through local bandwidth anyway.. when it's on microsoft.com I'll get it.

Upload your LAST SESSION.INI from nLite somewhere and I'll have a look (usually nLite keeps a copy on the root of the CD also).

sorry to disturb your current talkings but i did the whole Nlite SP3 integrate thingy reinstalled windows now it looks like crap.

how i get that blue around text away and the funky writing in bottom right hand side.:confused:

To get rid of blue border do this

My computer> properties> advanced> performance> settings visual effects> Tick "use drop shadows for icon labels.."> Apply

Heh, Occam's Razor prevails, there was me thinking it might be a problem with the actual CD :p

Microsoft's link works on local!

Come on now people...

You can download most stuff from microsoft on local if you have a direct link!

Just run a traceroute to the links on local and you'll see.

Sa microcraft does suck you know

Dude you are downloading from Microsoft US ".com" directly not SA

The akamai servers allow us to access it locally, I don't know how the technology works, somebody should shed some light on this but I have been downloading locally from microsoft since last year, Apple uses Akamai as well and I download locally from them as well (like itunes, quicktime and OSX updates)
