Your Favourite Open Source Software?

Guacamole - Access VNC, RDP, and SSH from your browser.
Kasm - Stream containers straight to your browser.

NetworkChuck on Youtube has a demo on both.
Thanks. Not sure why Guacamole wasn't on the list already but I've added it now!

Kasm looks cool. I've linked to their repos rather than the website. Will check out the NetworkChuck videos.

Netmaker

Open source Tailscale/Zerotier alternative based on Wireguard. I like the look of this. The management server has very similar functionality to Zerotier for setting up overlay networks and adding nodes.

Blackhole is ****ing insane
Is BlackHole actually progressing ?

A quick Google showed a flurry of articles in 2019 (my guess is on release) by hardly anything since then.

What is BitMeter OS?

BitMeter OS is a free, open-source, bandwidth monitor that works on Windows, Linux and Mac OSX. BitMeter OS keeps track of how much you use your internet/network connection, and allows you to view this information either via a web browser, or by using the command line tools

Thanks. Added.

Tribler

Anonymity

Tribler offers anonymous downloading. Bittorrent is fast, but has no privacy. We do NOT use the normal Tor network, but created a dedicated Tor-like onion routing network exclusively for torrent downloading. Tribler follows the Tor wire protocol specification and hidden services spec quite closely, but is enhanced to need no central (directory) server.

Interesting. Added, thanks.

I have not used it but have an acquaintance who does and says it's great.
Regrettably the Internxt Drive software is, to my mind, an advanced alpha release..

Despite their announcements to the contrary It cannot be used for other than sharing two or three files of < 512 Mb.

And if, as I did, one hits a problem, you are strictly on your own, with no documentation and/or support available.

The service is also very slow,

That said, I do like the concept - they are reintroducing the idea of breaking the file into small pieces, each stored at a separate location, making unauthorised retrieval all but impossible - so I will be watching for future announcements by this company.
