Your Favourite Open Source Software?

Yeah, very similar to my "Teleport" suggestion from a while back, with less fat
I must have missed your previous suggestion. Sorry. I have added Teleport to the list.

The Digital Life has a video on YouTube about it for securing your Homelab with MFA.

Thanks. We already have Django on the list so I can't re-add it but great to hear packages people like, even if it is not a new entry.

Check out Mayan EDMS which is a really great application based on Django.
Not sure if Unreal Engine 5 is on there although it's not Open Source in the sense of the source it's definitely Open and free in that sense.

My qualifying criteria for inclusion of software on the list is published source code with licensing terms that is considered a free/libre/open source license such as GPL, MIT, Apache etc. - I think I included one MS project with a license that is not 'officially' recognised as Free but was almost identical to one that was.

My intention is to promote the 'Free as in Free speech rather than Free as in Free Beer' aspect of FLOSS versus Freeware which comes at no cost but with proprietary licensing and usually specific restrictions on how you can use it.

Teamviewer, Malwarebytes and Belarc Advisor are all available at no cost for personal use but are not licensed for commercial use unless you pay so they can't be considered FLOSS.

Really wish they opened LiveZilla to open source since they have discontinued it.

As an aside, it's getting a little tricky to be consistent with which categories I put things under. I've enjoyed using the Github Gist but I think at some point the list may need to graduate to an actual website of some sort - but that opens up some nice possibilities like including description of each entry, tags for categories etc.

Something to put on the todo list! I need something to do with my Oracle Free Tier account since my Wireguard server crapped out and I wasn't so fussed on BBC iPlayer and More4 to reinstate it!

Thanks. Some really nice suggestions there and all new to me! Added.

Duf kind of reminds me of how you can use Caddy as a file server. I've never used Caddy but been wanting to play with it for a while and not got around to it yet.
Oh, indeed yeah this was some nice discoveries suggested by friends last night, I've never really dug into Caddy - should do some more exploration of it !
Insofar as the website suggestion, I am wondering if one of the softwares in your list could possbly be the catalogue provider for the rest of them lol

YunoHost is an operating system aiming for the simplest administration of a server, and therefore democratize self-hosting, while making sure it stays reliable, secure, ethical and lightweight. It is a copylefted libre software project maintained exclusively by volunteers. Technically, it can be seen as a distribution based on Debian GNU/Linux and can be installed on many kinds of hardware.
