Zest T1

Hi Guys. We are aware of the screen accuracy issues. Our tech team have been working around the clock on the next OTA update. Should be released this week sometime!

The main fixes are the GPS issue, icons disappearing and the screen calibration.

Android L feels slower than SwiftKey. I'll try it a bit more but I think I'll just stick with swiftkey anyway.

Is the proximity sensor also a known issue?

Thanks for feedback - no mention of internal storage re partition, is that on cards at all?

Hi Yasheel, which Huawei ascend is this? I'm hoping the dimensions are similar, maybe a good alternative for accessories like a tempered glass screen protector

134.0 x 67 x 9.9 mm G510
136.5 x 69 x 9.0 mm Zest T1
Close though.

I googled around and posted this in another thread: Although the specs vary a little, the dimensions and build is identical to EVOLVEO XTRAPHONE 4.5 Q4: http://www.evolveo.eu/en/xtraphone-45-q4-16gb

Now that is IDENTICAL! Buttons and censors are all in the same place.

The kicker is always the software. The hardware is only going to be as good as the software allows it to be. I am fairly certain that the XTRAPHONE will not get OTA updates. It would get stuck with bugs such as the GPS bug that we currently have.

Credit to Debbie at Zest who was still up at 3am working, sent me an email to clarify that there will be a solution for existing phone owners to repartition storage. Android L keyboard is also helping touchscreen frustrations a lot

That's good news. This storage thing is kinda annoying.

I believe that they were not offering this as an alternative to the T1 itself, but rather possibly a different source for things like bumper covers and screen protectors and other accessories... But alas, I think it will be harder to source accessories for the Xtraphone (that seems to only ship in Europe as far as I can see) than actually getting accessories for the T1 that will apparently become available through Afrihost soon. And there are not a very wide variety of accessories available for the Xtraphone.

I see. Cannot really get the point though. It is in Zest's and Afrihost's interest to offer a range of accessories.

As for the Android L keyboard... Wow!
