Yeah it is. I do hope that Zest and/or Afrihost will make a range off accessories available, and I will rather wait for that than trying to source a possible match from Europe. Unfortunately, until the Zest phones become popular I cannot see shops keeping stock of their accessories.

Yeah, the Android L Keyboard solved all my typing hassles. And I really like it, nice and clean.
 
Good day Zest Owners currently running into tethering problems and would like you to also confirm if you're also experiencing the same problem..

I see no point in doing a factor reset, phone should work out of the box without any hassles from the word go.

Wanted to test out the camera and use flash(occasionally the icon would vanish and there isn't a way to automatically set flash in settings. Finally managed to come right to click on the flash icon. Pictures were awful, dark room(lights off) wanted to take a picture of my bed 30 cm away quality wasn't acceptable (try it yourself)..

battery have noticed the battery percentage getting drained faster. Once the percentage is fully drained out or if the phone freezes(battery percentage displayed) click on the off button, touch switch off. Now once I try switch on the device get an Android icon, no command. Thought the battery was discharged fully then plugged the phone into the outlet. Now phone is in Android System recover<e3> Zest_T1_Africa_20140623 with a few options reboot system now etc. Clear indication that there is a bug,crossing fingers for a fix.

When on a call with someone automatically the phone called another party(once) , while the other call was on hold, tried to retrieve the call on hold but only ended up hanging the call cause there isn't a way to retrieve the call on hold unless i am ignorant.. .

Frequent dropped calls once I acted the minute reminder every 6 - 10 minutes, once I disabled the minute reminder calls weren't no longer dropping..

I think you chatted to our Twitter team earlier, I'd like to get your feedback consolidated to avoid any confusion.
Please PM me all/ any info you have around the issues you've encountered so I can have this looked into and passed onto Zest.
 
Anyone having issues with WiFi connection not working? I am connected to work WiFi and at home to Telkom LTE router, both have good signal but keep getting connection error. It will stay connected to WiFi but no connection. If I switch WiFi off/on then I will have connection for a couple of seconds and then it just dies. It's still connected to the WiFi, but no download or upload.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

I actually see this same issue on my home network when roaming between my two (identically-set-up) access points.

Like you, I have to disable and enable Wifi to get it back up (even though the icon does indicate it's connected).

All my other devices are fine with this setup, so I'm assuming it's T1-related.

Try turn airplane mode on, then off.
That resets all connections.

I am experiencing the same problem. I have not yet contacted Afrihost with regards to this. This is a major deal breaker for me.
 
I'm having a problem with Google navigation...

whenever i pan the map, or pinch to zoom, or when i take a turn and the map screen needs to redraw, the whole app just crashes and exits.

i'm not sure if it is the problem with the app (so google's fault) or if it specific to the zest. Does anyone else have this problem?
 
It's a known problem and will (hopefully) be fixed in the next update, as I understand.
 
Cannot find the settings to change the lockscreen wallpaper. I only have the option to change the desktop wallpapers.
 
Can't see any images in Gmail app, anyone know how to enable?
 
Revert back to Nova after changing wallpapers. It works fine. I'm also using Google camera and Google L keyboard.
 
The Zest T1 has been confirmed to retail at 1999, going forward?

Same here, I have wifi, but then at some point it dies. So this means no data and it doesn't even try and use cellular when it cant use wifi. So when i leave for work in the morning i get a whole stream of messages I missed from the night before. this is a major flaw in the phone if its not an isolated occurrence.
