spoiler tag? would have spoilered it given the size of the image

plunger? pressure on the screen causes that. on the flyer, which has a big enough screen for suction, i use it and that goes away.

i've run into insuffiecient storage space. will see what can be done about moving stuff to sd

also the screen can be a little unresponsive and sometimes it seems the sensor is just a bit off. i have to press a little to the left of what is on the screen.

otherwise so far in the hour or so i have played with it, it seems fine.

Anyone know what could be causing the data to turn off while the phone is locked/sleeping. Ie no whatsapp messages go through while the phone is locked.

I noticed the same thing when on wifi. Try this:

Settings>WiFi>Advanced>Wifi Optimisation>Uncheck

How do you delete individual smss on the phone. I can only see an option to delete all messages

I agree - I feel much more 'clumsy' typing and navigating than on my Samsung Galaxy, feels like where you press, is not exactly where the touch is registered....

That worked thanks
No problem.

So it's not just me then... Hence why I said earlier if they could tweak the calibration/responsiveness of the screen with one of the upcoming updates- if it's even possible.

In all probability, yes. This is the case with 99% of manufacturers I believe.
According to Afrihosts terms of the Warreny: https://www.afrihost.com/landing/zest_t1/ "Using incorrectly sized SIM cards, and any physical damage as a result, is deemed to be improper use or abuse of the product. This effectively voids the manufacturer’s warranty and therefore will not be exchanged or returned. This further extends to the use of unapproved accessories or modifications which effectively void the warranty on the product. In such circumstances, Afrihost will not be liable to repair or replace any such devices and no further correspondence will be entered into once the device is deemed to be out of warranty."

Now I don't see how rooting can be perceived as a modification. If anybody can argue that it is, then any app downloaded should also be. I scene a legal battle.

noun: modification

the action of modifying something.
"the parts supplied should fit with little or no modification"
synonyms: softening, moderation, tempering, qualification, restriction, lessening, reduction, decrease, diminishing, lowering, abatement, mitigation More
"working class opposition to the tax has led to some modification of this stance"
a change made.

Unfortunately the same rule applies altering/tampering with the phones original OS installed, automatically avoids the warranty - with the original firmware/OS installed there is log of every action every performed on the device*amount of phone calls, total duration, number of SMS received/sent etc. That log is sometimes vital

Anyone that works @ Standard Bank No 5 Simmonds got the phone yet - I'd like to see it and hear your experience so far
