Zest T1

We are aware of the battery issue and our tech team have been working around the clock on the next OTA update. We will be releasing it in the next day or so and hopefully this will fix your problem (and the other problems people have been experiencing). In the meantime can you try calibrating your battery by charging it fully, then letting it drain through normal use to about 10% and then charging it fully 3 or 4 times.

Hi.
Is there a changelog of all the issues you will be addressing?

Or some scammer taking advantage.

I dealt with that user on my support issue last night (at midnight!)... Definitely not a scammer - they've booked me for a replacement of my defective unit; got the call from Afrihost this morning :)

So, Zest has announced that all devices in future will have the internal storage partitioned 50/50, instead of only 1GB for apps - but how does that help those of us who already have the device, will anything be done in this case?

Where did you see that?

I suppose 50/50 is better than nothing. I still advocate everything should be partitioned as internal storage and for phone storage we can use SD cards.

Ah, I think I may have misunderstood your comment.
Are you for the T1 or against? I automatically assumed against.

Definitely not against it. I own one.
I think the brand as a whole has its place in the market and with the impact of the T1, things are very encouraging. As the brand and company is relatively new we should expect teething issues. But I think, after 5 years or so, these guys will have a significant market share.

Don't mind investing :D

Finding the proximity sensor does not turn off screen during a call. Did the calibration and it still does not work. Any suggestions?

I noticed a lot of people complained about the accuracy or 'lag' while typing and had to as a result slow down their typing on the T1. I had the same problem but after I installed another keyboard app the problem disappeared, the typing is real time now and I can type at the same rate I used to.

Initially I thought the problem could be the calibration of the touch panel or that it did not register touches too close to each other, but it seems as though the delay is somehow related to the stock keyboard.

I am using the Android L Keyboard (One modified from the Android L Developer preview to run on other Android versions). here is the link for those interested, but I am sure any other keyboard app should also solve this.

Any news on bumper cases? Not the biggest fan of these flappy covers.

I'm running SwiftKey and still have this issue. Will have a look-see and weigh it up.

Yeah, I tried Swype and that was slow too, but i have found Swype to be a bit buggy and slow at times even on my Galaxy S4.

If it helps I also turned off error correction and next word suggestions on Android L Keyboard (since I don't use it), not sure if that could be the reason why it is behaving.

Using SwiftKey also made no difference for me.
