Problem miraculously fixed itself this morning
New application. Openserve was suppose to install middle march. Apparently snooze till 24th of march. What in the world does that mean?
Good day. Order Fibre 14 January with Afrihost(Openserve) and still do not have Fibre. Have received numerous promises including interim LTE-A sim with no success. Just the standard response. We have escalated to Openserve. I really think Afrihost would grow if they actually had proper follow up procedures and kept the client updated and there promises. However I have not been unable to see that and very disspointed in the way that client relations is being managed. I would suggest try another ISP.
Maybe just edit your post and remove his email from it, since a mod has probably modified his username accordinglyHi Carel. Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear about your long wait. Usually when there is such a long wait there is another factor at play here. Please feel free to PM me your account info and I'll help clear things up.![]()

Replied to your PM.We'll help you clear this up.
Have you tried the live chat on the client zone ?Hey guys
I just had fibre installed by Openserve, apparently I need to contact you to activate it?
let me know who I can PMwould love to have this running for the long weekend
2 weeks later and you have still not cleared anything up.
Countless calls to support, Vuma and Britelink both tested and confirmed line and equipment is 100% (plus provided this info to you) and your fibre support 'team lead' still fails to understand or accept that the problem is Afrihost-related.
Also sent a PM for what it's worth.
I'm fed-up.

Still no progress. 10.5 weeks later. Following up with numerous people in Afrihost that were commited to sort this out. 90% does not even reply. Even after asking numerous times for daily updates. Also no interim solution as requested previously.
Lack of feedback will not make this go awayThis is related to the inability of showing rollover data for capped users, similar to what we had/have on ADSL, and that you have to PM them in order to add it to your monthly capSadly, it seems that their poor developers are merely overloaded with sooooooo much important work for the past 6-9 months that they are unable to complete this, and are also unable to provide anyone with an ETA. I thought they were just unable to produce the goods, but hey, various Afri*people assured me that they are extremely competent.
Have you PM'd one of the of guys? Seems like it could have been AfriFella so I'll ask him to check for updates.
Good day Yes I requested an update from AfriFella however I do not get feedback. I have contacted Afrihost almost daily over the last 2 Weeks and still no progress. Still no commitment from either Afrihost or Openserve / Telkom. Why do you state the following on another post: Best to keep engaging with us so we can keep putting pressure on the relevant people to get a solution for you.
Does that mean that you have no processes in place to actually follow up and get an order completed?
I really do not see any progress or client service.
Why has my bill increased in price? VAT yes, but not the base price. R667 vs R655.
I received no mention of this increase and it was not the agreed upon price as set at the beginning of the contract.
