For all those of you not subscribed to CAR Magazine I can recommend getting your hands on the April issue when it hits store shelves. It has an excellent section about Optimal Energy's Joule and why the project has seemingly gone quiet lately.
The team from CAR magazine had the chance to...
Is it just me or is this a really beautiful big car? Wonder if it will come to SA unlike other beautiful big cars from Rüsselsheim that are only found through out Europe. It should slot in right below the Sonata (i45).

So I'm turning 30 in the middle of this year and I want to be about the same weight as I was back in high school. Last year November I started walking which progressed into running and now sometimes cycling too (doing a 95km ride tomorrow).
I use a sports tracker to keep log of all my...
Many times I am ridiculed and called a troll because I recommend cars other than what the mainstream thinks is good. I am very fond of Eastern cars - in particular Korean option and I have a pet hate for anything VAG. When I bought a Opel Corsa last year I compared it the VW Polo and found that...
Currently I have a DStv Compact 1110i decoder. I am thinking of getting a HD PVR but only for PVR functionality, not HD channels, XtraView and other nonsense.
My question is this, can I simply but the HD PVR from game and put my smart card in it and use it as a PVR?
In other words, is it...
I have been wondering for a while now how they can have ABS and EBD on a car that only has discs in the front and drums in the rear.
The EBD part I can understand, that is just distribution of the braking power, but how do they do ABS on rear drum brakes?
Seeing as Nokia has launched the next "imaging king" phone I thought that a thread where N8 users can post their good shots (taken with an N8 of course) would be a good idea.
To start off with, some pics I took at the Botanical Gardens in Stellenbosch today :

Having been involved with the company that started MXit long before GPRS was even available in SA, I was invited to attend the launch of their new API on Friday in Stellenbosch. There was quite a bit of press and even Arthur Goldstruck attended. Did anyone from MyBroandband attend and are you...
This is my record from back in 2003 :
Done using a Lucent LT WinModem on a R7 Weekend call special from Telkom. The line quality is exceptional because this is a farm line that only had 2 lines going to the exchange (800m away). The ISP was ABSA (free internet).
Since the joint venture between Opel and Suzuki came to an end there has been a few concepts on how to replace the sub Corsa level Agila (Suzuki Splash). The new name will be the Allegra and it is set to be built on the same platform as the new GM Spark. On the style front it is still unclear...
Ever since the VAG boys gave Oriental Blue the new name of "teal gay blue" I have begun to like the colour even more. So here are some more of this "fab" colour on the funky new Meriva, especially for the VAG boys ;)
Who needs gullwing doors when you can have suicide doors ?
So there...
It is said that in snowy countries it is considered a higher risk to drive a white car or even a silver one. Here in SA it seems that black cars are considered a high risk, or at least they were a few years ago anyway.
Is there any truth is in this? Are some cars really more prone to be in...
Soon Europe's 3rd favorite car maker Opel will be selling its 3rd place 2010 European Car of the Year contender - the 8th generation Astra - in SA.
Prices are very attractive and as can be expected from Opel the standard equipment level is very high, as opposed to their main German rival...
