Notes : I called Telkom earlier to Re-Create the port and asked him about the 10Mbps upgrade and he says it has not happened at my exchange yet but the exchange is 10Mbps enabled.

I stay in Oranjezicht in Cape Town, my router was syncing at 8128kbps last night and my speedtest.net result was a consistent 6800kbps, tonight my router is syncing at 10015kbps and my speedtest.net results vary from 1100kbps to 5500kbps, but seem to be averaging at around 2700kbps - before the upgrade I was getting consistent speeds of 3500kbps. My pings range from 12ms to 280ms, about to phone Telkom to ask them to resync my line at a lower speed :-(

Right, just got off the phone to Telkom, they resynced my line and now my maximum speed is 400kbps, they are sending a techie out to come and look at my line, it feels like I am back with Neotel now.

Afraid not - this line "Rate (Kbps): 4096 512" tells you what you are currently synch'd at (still 4mb).
