2011 Super Rugby (Super 15) thread

Can sum1 tell me why the stormers have 20 points? 4 wins 0 bonus points = 16. Super15 site shows they have 20.

Thanks,i don't see the point of that though. Why not just leave it at 0 like it's always been.

What this does do however is that nobody has a game in hand over another team on the log. Although Stormers for example only played 4 games they have points for 5 the same amount of games as the Crusaders actually played. That is at least one way of looking at it.

But in reality it doesn't matter if it's 4 or 0 as all teams will get these points so it's neither here nor there.

Bakkies, If I can't win the match I will win the fight, Botha; has again been sighted, this time for the dangerous tackle on Dewald Duwenhage. You know the one where he puts him in a headlock and then tries to break his neck. Hopefully SANZAR will now ban this man for a long long time. He doesn't deserve to be on a rugby field any more.

Yep, but they also need to start blooding youngsters in certain positions. Some of the usual are way off the pace and it's hurting the team.

Generally it is a problem in sport. The seniors won't admit their time has come. Selectors are scared of upseting some of the big names by dropping them ... or dropping them to the bench.

So when talented youngsters come along, they end up looking internationally for somewhere or someone to recognise their talent.

Agree that this is poetically hurting the bulls.

Been saying it for a while now. He is a liability to any team he plays for. Simple as that. No team can afford to play with 14 players for 10 or the balance of the game. Send him (and his kind) the strongest message possible.

Still a mystery why there were no bans from Stormers vs Highlanders boxing match. Not even one player cited.

Bakkies track record with discilinary hearings will count against him. I think the citing is a bit harsh.

Here is the video of the incident that got Bakkies cited.

That was farking dangerous! Bakkies should be a cage fighter, let Brock Lesnar teach him a nice lesson.

LOL. You do know that this is a contact sport, not a pretend contact sport like soccer? It was a clean out, nothing more. And you do now that WWE is fake don't you? Lesner would Sh*t himself in a real fight with bakkies.

Bakkies and Victor may just be past their sell by date....

one world cup too many IMO.

Give the other guys a chance !!!!!

Potgieter to wear No 10 jersey

Durban - The Sharks on Thursday named their side that will take on the Crusaders in London on Sunday and, as expected, coach John Plumtree made only one change to his starting line-up from the previous week.

This will be the first Vodacom Super Rugby match to be staged in the Northern Hemisphere.

As for the change in personnel, Jacques-Louis Potgieter will be earning his first start at flyhalf ahead of the injured Pat Lambie - Lambie fractured a finger in last week’s match against the Chiefs in Hamilton.

On the bench no less than three previously injured players - tighthead prop Eugene van Staden, lock Gerhard Mostert and Springbok wing JP Pietersen - will make their return.

With John Smit captaining the side at loosehead prop, Plumtree decided not to include a reserve hooker and will therefore have two frontrowers in Van Staden and Tendai Mtawarira at his disposal.

Teams

Replacements: 16. Eugene van Staden, 17. Tendai Mtawarira, 18. Gerhard Mostert, 19. Jacques Botes, 20. Conrad Hoffmann, 21. Adrian Jacobs, 22. JP Pietersen.
