Just checked - my TP-Link router has been connected for over 12 hours.

Mine still connected now for over 2 days.
There's nothing wrong with the TP-Link routers. Mines been connected for weeks now.
Started out with my TP-Link and MF668 with some disconnections - every night it would disconnect. When I checked this morning, though, it has been running for the whole weekend (with me actually using it).
Mine is a whole lot better for having the DNS servers entered manually. Before when they were assigned automatically as per default settings I could not work out why sometimes I would get a stable connection for hours and other times it would crash within 30 minutes.
It turns out it was stable when the Router had been assigned the correct DNS servers and was unstable when it wasn't. The correct DNS servers for my Internet are 10.0.202.10 and 10.0.203.10 it was auto setting them too 10.12.13.14 sometimes which also caused the Router to crash. I am not on Cell C so yours will be different.
When I woke up the this morning the Router was ready to connect me to the Internet and in fact it did without any user intervention.
I recommend you try entering the DNS servers manually, it will not do any harm and may solve your connection problems.
Ok I give up, still having problems with identifying/unplugged. So I am now going to try a Huawei K3565 3G stick instead of the ZTE MF112 hopefully its a compatibility issue and my spare Huawei K3565 will come to the rescue. The K3565 is 3.6mbps rather then the 7.2mbps of the ZTE but if it works thats the main thing.
EDIT: Yes I can confirm the Huawei K3565 (e160) works fine with this Router, the frequent device unplugged and/or identifying status in the Router configuration page pertaining to the 3G modem just does not happen with the K3565 (e160) connected so even though the ZTE MF112 is supposed to be officially supported in the Routers firmware in reality it does not play nicely with the Router. I do not know if Huawei sticks are more compatible generally then ZTE and I do not know if there is something TP-Link can do to make the ZTE MF112 more compatible but for now I am going to use the K3565.

Bought a 3G wireless router - meaning I can go to a mall and share my connection without using adaptor 
Trendnet 655BR3G - one problem with this router is authentication - meaning when i use my BlackBerry to connect via WI-FI gives me this authentication number my BlackBerry to input somewhere in the router but didn't find the option and the modem just freezes but if i skip that method and just enter the password I am able to connect but the signal strength is weak - shows 50% or so.
I am not complaining Incredible Corruption folks had a promotion last week. Paid R499 once-off and received Vodacom Dongle with 12 x 100meg per month. So R100 for a router ain't much to pay retail is R899 as a stand alone.

Does the router not have an 'WPS' button? (WiFi protected setup. If your blackberry gives you a pin, its probably trying to connect using WPS). Options are to either enter the pin in the router, or just press the WPS button

The router does have WPS button - but let me read up on the router more today to know what all the functions are all about. What I did notice the modem just freezes when it asks for a pin.
Since day one i have had problems with the CellC Speedstick i purchased. it is as if it is cursed.
I had overheating problems and disconnects on the unit since i first plugged it in. Then i purchased the Sitecom router from IC at R1399, and after endless problems disgarded it. Then based on the feedback of this forum i Purchased the TP-Link 300n Router. Also, initially worked fine, but problems. Can log on to it, but no internet. Even though the Modem shows it is connected (Blue light)-this is with both the latest Vodacom modem and the Cellc Black stick. I also tried to improve signal quality(38%) by buying the external antenna kit from Uniterm, that did not even make a diff. Also, when i eventually connected, the download starts high- about 2mbs- and the steadily drops to zero
So, in the end, i am done with this battle. i will have to go back to "Hellkom"

I'm sorry you are giving up. I think the root of your problem is a poor signal. After much trial and error, I found this combination of equipment to work very well for me and I am almost certain should work for anyone unless there is a technical issue with their tower.

The only thing I can think of is perhaps your DNS servers are not being properly auto assigned sometimes meaning the Internet will not work. Without the DNS servers your browser has no way to resolve Internet domain names this could explain why your modem is connected but there is "no Internet". I had this problem too so manually entered the correct DNS servers in the routers web configuration.
Aside from this I also had frequent device unplugged and/or identifying with my ZTE MF112 and the only way to solve that was with a different modem - I used a Huawei K3565 but I am sure there are plenty of others which work, and some that don't.
I still have the DNS servers manually set as I believe that may have been a seperate problem to the modem incompatibility.
It shouldn't do that? Wonder if it is 'waiting' for a response from the device, or just hanging fore some or other odd reason. If you don't come right, maybe sent the manufacturer an email, hopefully they might be able to sort you out
Ok, so I've picked up the new ZTE (black speedstick), and I'm not sure which router to buy. As an interim I'm using my PC along with Virtual Router, which along with Windows 7 allows me to create a wireless router, sharing my Cell C connection. So far so good - but it's not my ideal solution. Still waiting to see which routers come right with the new sticks first...

Hi everyone,
I have a new Cell C MF668 modem and am unable to get it to work with my netgear MBRN3000 router, it states it is an incompatible device. It does work wonders when I use it standalone on my MAC but just wondering if anyone else have been able to get it to work through this Netgear router. I have looked all over mulitple forums and am unable to find the exact setup.
Any help please - so bleak I cant use it. I also just got the modem yesterday via Nashua Mobile so wondering whether I can replace it for another modem with similar sppeds and if so which one should I go for?

Before I bought the Netgear MBRN3000 router, I checked compatibality here - www.netgear.com/3G
I then checked on Cell C's site for a list of modems compatible to their service HERE and select "Modem Compatibility" on the left.
If you follow this simple recipe you basically can't go wrong.
I am using a Huawei E180 with my router and it works fine.
For those who doesn't want to fork out money for a router, you can also use a soft AP in Windows 7 with the help of a piece of free software - www.connectify.me
I used Connectify for a while, but I didn't like keeping my laptop running the whole day to act as a hotspot so I eventually decided to buy the modem from IC.
