Tenda 3G Wireless-N Broadband Router model 3G611R+

I bought a Tenda 3G Wireless-N Broadband Router model 3G611R+
http://www.tenda.cn/tendacn/Product/show.aspx?productid=359
from Scoop.co.za for R225 (Ex VAT)

can anyone help me with settings to configure it for use with either of the following USB stick modems:

HUAWEI (Vodafone) model K3765

and / or

HUAWEI (Vodafone) model K3570-Z

the SIMcard I am using is the 8.ta Internet 5 Promo (10Gb per month for R200)
http://www.8ta.com/plans/postpaid-data/i5promo/

I got the 8.ta SIMcard to work in the K3765 plugged directly into my laptop through the HUAWEI Mobile Partner (ver 16) dashboard / user interface,
http://3g-modem.wetpaint.com/page/Huawei+K3765-HV+(Vodafone)#fbid=2oUu4Ktap5F
but cannot get it to work through the Tenda 3G611R+ router

I have downloaded and installed Firmware Upgrade V3.3.0k (dated Nov 2009) from
http://www.tenda.cn/tendacn/Product/show.aspx?productid=359&type=2
but to no avail.

Any suggestions / router config settings ?

MR3420-CellC MF668

Hi
I have bought a MR3420 Router and connected it to my CellC MF668 stick. It’s working very well on my desktop and shows that the signal strength is at between 54-67%. (I take it that’s not bad) I can surfer the internet and download on the desktop at great speed. The problem comes when I connect my laptop through wireless. The internet speed is very bad takes for ever to open a page (if at all). The connection shows me the laptop signal strength is excellent but the speed is 5.5Kbps.
Please help or advice. (please keep in mind I’m not that good with computers and lucky I got so far.)

I had that (a similar) problem when wireless N was enabled and not supported on my device.

Hi Ajax
Could you tell me how to disable the wireless N. I would like to try that. thanks

is your modem plugged directly into your router or through a USB cable?

I've noticed my MR3420 struggles to recognise my E1820 when I connect using 'some' USB cables

I have just noticed that the latest (110617) firmware for the MR3420 on the TPLINK website has been removed and the previous version (110418) is now the latest - Huh?

Anybody know why the 110617 version was withdrawn? My router has the 110617 version on it and has actually not been working as well with this version - Can I downgrade the firmware to the 110418 version?

Also noticed that. You can downgrade, yes. I've done it a couple of times.

THANKS! Downgraded and router MUCH more stable with K4505Z modem - GREAT!!

I am just having troubles setting up a TP Link MR3220 for a mate.

1. It takes 10 min for the modem to be identified.
2. It wont connect ( No vodacom settings under ISP, I used set the dial number manually. Still, it wont connect)
3. Once it identifies the modem, aftyer a few minutes it will just go back to identifying 3G modem. Then it takes another 5 minutes for it to identify.

Modem Is a Vodacom K3565-Z.

Upgraded to latest firmware, even used a older one. No luck. Uploaded Modem Bin file too.

Biggest crap ever...
