Hi gents

For the last month or so I've been having random (sometimes every hour or so, other times every five minutes) disconnections. I know they upgraded our exchange recently.

I've got a billion 800VGT router, when this intermittent disconnections happen the DSL/PPP light flickers between yellow and orange, then I enter the router's settings and re-enter my username and password and it works.

This happened to both my Telkom and Openweb account. I've upgraded my 384kb line to a 4/10Mb Monday and with all this I also phoned Telkom to reset my port, but it still persists.

Any ideas?

also try borrow an other router to test with, reason; one should not have to re-enter the u&p details every time

If you find this is the case, try resetting to factory defaults and even upgrading the FW and then set up the router again.

I've updated the firmware (Will let you know if there's an improvement). I've got a Billion 810VGTX and a Mega105WR.

Can you guys please recommend me a D-Link which support Bridge/Half bridge mode?

We (at our office) have been having disconnection issues since yesterday.
Telkom was here this morning and they have apparently fixed it... cable break or something like that.
I don't know the full story.

Upgraded the firmware and seems it solved the problem. Don't know why I haven' tried this, downloaded the firmware a few days ago but haven't got to it. Been holding out for the last 8 hours.

Thanks for all the tips, will let keep you guys up to date, but hopefully it's resolved.
