Talking from past experience.
Ah!
I was just worried that I was missing something rather important.

Evening Guys!
I just wanted to let you know about the competition we are running for ClientZone Month. All you need to do to enter is follow this Link and answer ten quick questions. This will then enter you to win one of two iPad Airs!

And answer question(s) incorrectly, and you're NOT entered into the draw, but have to redo the stupid little "quiz" / survey. Thanks, but take your marketing hype and stuff it. I've got better things to do with my time.
and there the speed goes down the crapper again
Did you get my last PM about this?
most of the 10meg and then it is up and down
Still sounds a bit off, please let me know if the connection continues to be up and down.
I am also in CPT and the speed sucks, my newsgroups is downloading to 10% of my line speed, what the heck is going on. I check on ClientZone and my Business Prioritization was turned on, I did not turn it on, so I turned it off and 20 min later my speed is still horrid.
Hope it gets fixed soon.
AH, it is now 00:20 and can't even crack 1,5 mbps on speedtest, google play store update, nor p2p download. Business optimisation is off. No one else is using the internet. No update is taking place in the background.
BUT, this is where I get confused - I use a YouTube video downloader to download videos from some sites - if I put that on to download, my line runs at a cool 3,3 mbps. WTF?! I have noticed this and asked about this before. (on 4mbps line)

That's strange because I can see traffic in the North and South dropped off well before that (around 11pm) and speeds should have been excellent as off-peak. When did you start testing? Maybe you caught the downward slope of the traffic drop-off.
I started at about 10:45 pm. By 1 am when I decided to go to sleep, my speeds were still crappy - except for that youtube downloader I was talking about. Now this isn't the first time everything else is crappy and only the downloader works. So how is that possible?
Even now, this is my speedtest results:
Download Speed: 1454 kbps (181.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 411 kbps (51.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 52 ms

I know there is apparently congestion on my exchange, but this is getting ridiculous now. I really don't know what to do anymore.
Test with another ISP - free accounts at WA etc - and if they are better. Move. Why stick around for service you are not satisfied with? Makes no sense.
I agree. I was prepared to give AH some time to get things right. But its going on too long and affecting my business. These forums are the only place where a sensible dialogue can take place with an AH representative. I really hope that in the AH "war room" a serious discussion is taking place because like many, I won't announce my move to a new ISP, I'll just disappear from this thread. When my internet is running full speed, it is absolutely awesome on AH - better than with other ISPs that I have tested.
As I have said ( and many others) - I would just like to have the usual AH experience that I have come to enjoy.
