Afrihost Business Uncapped Feedback - 2

Thanks analytical, appreciate the feedback.
So, Afrihost, what are you doing about this lack of speed on your Business DSL?

Nothing will be done about it. All you will get is an unofficial AH rep telling you that it isn't throttling and a bitter person if you complain about their network.

That is reason enough for me to cancel the account and move somewhere else. For the amount of money a 20MB business account costs a month, I don't want to beg on a forum for service.

Took me a while to capture this post, my browser kept hanging..
4Mb Business.
Oh wait, its 8:30 am and this is when we must expect the equivalent of a network load shed...

It is pathetic, I suppose the whole lot is away for the long weekend and they can't care less, and the worst is you as customer must now keep on nagging and run 100's of tests to prove to them their service is belly up.

the tests are just to keep you busy and not complaining so the week can pass then on monday it starts all over again

@Afrihost - how is this ever going to fix anything? What errors? There are no errors, it's an IPC issue on your end.

Please note that I ran a session auditor on your business DSL account to clear all possible errors, please restart your router and test again. Also bypass the splitter/filter and connect directly to your DSL line and advise if the performance has increased.

I've had no Internet since Friday, I've had no real answers to when or what is happening to fix my line from either afrihost or telkom, a telkom reference number literally means nothing, what's the point of having afrihost manage my line when it makes zero difference to the service? Completely fed up with this so called "business" uncapped, I thought this was a priority service?

These forums need a 'like' button, I cannot agree more with the statement. Amen.

The powers that be don't like plugins. They claim it slows the forum down. I've never experienced slowness with forums that have like buttons, but I suppose MyBB has considerably more traffic than most SA forums and they don't want to spend more than necessary on hardware and hosting.

Which area are you in? I havent had internet since Saturday. In P.E.

Has anyone else had their line completely die on them? DSL won't connect no matter what I do. It's been quite a while now.

Anyone know anything about this:

Network Notice:

Starting tomorrow (Sunday 05 April 2015) until Thursday next week (09 April 2015) numerous Telkom exchanges will intermittently go offline for maintenance as part of Telkom's major network upgrades. The list is extensive and countrywide, and you may experience loss of DSL sync or decreased throughput for up to 5 hours during this process. Don't be alarmed. There's no need to report a fault if you experience this, unless the service is not restored 24 hours. You should be back up and running in a few hours

Ffs! This could literally not happen at a worse time for me. It's likely that this is the cause of my lack of connectivity, as my step-bro up the road also has dead DSL.

Just got in from Dubai and got this ... in true African style
