Seems that most things are running at the moment. Will see for how long this will last... Will it keep going or will it go up in a blaze of glory again...

I did also say that there were reports of poor P2P and we don't know if that was also related to the same loadshedding. We are still testing on our side, but we definitely haven't been shaping or limiting P2P traffic.
Afriman, have to managed to look at the email I sent you couple days ago as you requested with my traceroutes and speed tests.

Well either way - please can you guys get this sorted now. Patience is running thin - including mine.
I got a flood of mails following the ISP survey so I may have missed it. Can you PM me your email address so I can find it?
I see Telkom have dropped IPC prices, please do not try to drop prices and rather purchase more IPC to provide better service to the current paying customers.
We'll definitely be on that with the announcement, but Telkom still needs to confirm final pricing. The article says between 1.4% and 63%, which is a pretty big difference. But we'll definitely look for an opportunity to either reduce prices and also improve our infrastructure if we can do both.

That is a huge margin. I thought they would have given you some inside info. Hopefully it's good news.
Well if they do drop it by 63% (lets say) why not do a 50/50, increase capacity to half the value of the saving and drop prices with the other half.... (I know it is more complex then that, but you get the idea)![]()

I'm pretty sure there will be a pull in both directions, too early to say. My feeling would be that if it was a toss up between the two, we would go for upgrades. We probably have plans to upgrade IPC anyway, it's pretty much regular thing based on network growth. So if it's that much cheaper, it might make it more feasible to do that earlier.
Well I and many others would rather see an increase in capacity rather then a decrease in price.
Indeed, if you want budget internet you should go buy your budget data. Like most things in life, you either eat at Spur or you eat a R1600 meal every night.
What would you eat for R1600 a night? And nothing wrong with Spur, I think their burgers rock (and they do crispy bacon right)![]()
Getting really annoyed with the sporadic bad 20 meg vdsl business uncapped account. I can download full speed (2.1Mps) from an international site, pause the download, and have youtube video's buffer (Some of them, and I have a feeling it's video's thats not cached locally). I don't want support, just air my frustrations, as I'd rather gargle shards of glass, than deal with your support desk. Please, do what you need todo to get back PRE MTN days.
as soon as you do something that is not cached the internet becomes extremely slow so we need more capacity as everybody is relying on google cache to speed up the internet
