Nope. My connection was dodgy earlier, but now it's running perfectly.

By the way - set your location in your profile settings. There are many instances on this forum when it is useful to know the location of a user.

Thanks. I will do that.
Quite literally at 23:10 my speeds improved and can now do some streaming.
I am in a town about 45 minutes South of JHB.

Please tell me I am not alone:
Can't stream anything, p2p maxing out at 20 kbps, websites take ages to load, google play store updates are slow as hell (10 minutes for 5 mb update), speedtests using ookla says "network communication error", etc.

I'm not aware of a general problem like this at the moment. P2P was running fine when I tested. YouTube and websites I looked at were running fine as well. I was using Google Docs for a few hours last night (which is usually finicky on an iffy connection) and it was running perfectly for me :(

Good advice. Really helps me to know which region you're testing from so I can compare with reports I have from South, East and North (which is where I am testing from)

Thanks for all the updates, Afri team. Looking forward to the upgrades coming into effect, and getting consistent throughput again.

We'll always aim to provide as much insight as we can into what's happening behind the scenes.

Ok. So then any feedback from Telkom with regards to my ongoing (since February) exchange fault?
Because, things are not "running perfectly for me" - and at the end of the day, as I am a customer, it should be.

The last update I had from AfriGenie was that this was linked to a network fault or congested exchange. I know that he has requested further feedback from Telkom. Will ask him if he has received any :(

Please. It is getting unbearable. Was unable to use my internet since 3 pm until midnight last night - even then speed test only showed up as 2,2 mbps. Port reset etc did nothing. Switching to a new router with a new cable didn't help. Switching to a different isp test account didn't see any improvement. Not happy at all.

Definitely points to what AfriGenie has been saying :(

Just did a trace route as well. Latency looks really high.

Hard to see where this is coming in :(
Have you tested with another account? Which area are you in?
