any further feed back on this, no one had contacted me today?
Thanks, what are they doing to resolve this? Do they even know whats wrong or even have an idea ?
We are on a business account (We use it for our business) and we are struggling .
Not once has Afrihost said "hey here is a trial account while we figure out what is going on....."
@Afriguy, NNTP is downloading at half the my line speed, twitch constantly buffers, which I am assuming is because of the slow throughput....
Very odd.
Could you PM me a bit more detail please?
Sent you a PM
Shouldn't be any issues around throughput at the moment.
Do you constantly see the same results or do they vary throughout the day/ night?
Just noticed it now, it was fine for about two weeks....
I see Afrihost is back to last month's level of service again. Removed my account pause to give AH the benefit of the doubt now that the network capacity has supposedly been upgraded, yet still getting abysmal speeds. Out of three speedtest checks, the first two couldn't break 3mbps and the last one only managed to end at 3.99mbps. That on a 10mbps line and account.
Either someone severely underestimated capacity requirements for the network upgrade, or someone ticked the throttle everyone button or maybe Afrihost is just actively trying to lose customers till they can cope again.
Makes me wonder if your service will temporarily improve again over the last 3 days of November only to go back to the gutter at start of December.
Keep testing it please, could just be a temporary glitch.
Looks like usage on the East is dropping off quite a bit now.
I thought you guys did the uprgades here? So why would usage in the East affect my account?
Well, something is severely wrong as I can't do a speedtest...
Are you able to run a traceroute or MTR?
