Bundle problems.

I see that the bundled 20MB line and AH Business account is R2297 from the ClientZone. Yet if you sign up on the website it's R2197.

What gives?

So much for AH support. They just answer with a link to their website saying I need to look there for the prices.

sigh. I really cannot understand why people give Telkom grief when AH sets the bar so very, very low.

In clientzone it will be seperate, but once it's gone through it will find the bundled product and give you a discount.
I have a bundle, what happens is I get billed separately for line and data, then get a discount for bundle.

Afripeps are on holiday till the 29th Dec, you will have to use the normal mans of communicating with them for just over a week.

When you bundle the line and account in ClientZone it tells you the price at that point, including the discount you are getting. When I bundle it tells me R2297 for a 20MB business account and line as a bundle, with a saving of R99.

That is not the same R2197 the bundle is shown as on the website.

I did mail the AH support, and they didn't bother to try to comprehend what I emailed them either. It seems everyone is in holiday mode.

Chances are the AH clientzone is incorrect, but I just need the AH support guys to confirm what the price is. When I look at my invoices in August and September, I never got the bundle discount - it was full price for both line and account even though they were bundled. My referral links dropped the price, which made it look like I was getting a discount.

Poor speeds in JHB may be due to flooding. Same thing happened last year. People can't insulate their wires.

The prices as they appear on the website are definitely what you should be getting, could you please send me a PM with your account details so that I can look into this for you.

Im on 10mb business dsl uncapped, optimisation is off...however torrents seem to be throttled at 2mb(200kbps)...what gives? speed test shows full line speed. I was on home uncapped and this wasnt the case before...

Try another torrent. Does it have the same throttle? Make sure that your torrent client hasn't got a limit, and that you aren't running something like netlimiter. If that doesn't work, try another ISP account (you can get a free 2GB account with WebAfrica). If it's fast on that, then it's a problem with Afrihost.

Yip, he's prob got a limiter going somewhere. I'm embarrassed to say that I've been caught out by this before myself :p

I am on 4/1mbps business trying to jam L4D2 with my two mates. One's on TI 2/0.5mbps uncapped, the other is on SAI 2/0.5mbps.

There are three situations:
1. If I host a game, my mate on TI hosts, I get 500ms. Mate on SAI gets like 70ms.
2. If the mate on TI hosts, I get 500ms. Mate on SAI gets 70ms.
3. If the mate on SAI hosts, we all have decent ping.

WHY

Thanks for the reply,

Restarted the modem and it returned to full speed, not sure what is up with that.

Thanks again

I think that sometimes disabling/enabling the business prioritization needs a reboot to take effect. Happened to me once or twice.

I'm struggling to connect at the moment. Problem started around 18:40 today.
Error I'm getting is:
netMakeChannDail: err=-3000 rn_p=8069c054
The line is online and I have a IP (10.229.82.xxx) from Afrihost but can't access the web.
Restarted the router but no joy.
Line stats looks ok:

Upstream
Noise margin 15.1 db
Attenuation 23.6 db

Downstream
Noise margin 25.4 db
Attenuation 38.6 db

Anybody else having the same problem?

Morning!

Are you still having the connectivity issue? That IP address definitely does not look right, the Afrihost IP should start with 105.xxx.xxx.xxx

If you are still seeing a connectivity issue can you please send me a PM with your ADSL line or ADSL username.

dead slow here in cape town

Morning!

I am definitely not seeing any capacity issues in the Southern Region, how are your speeds this morning? If there are still any issues could you please send me a PM with your account details.
