Back online, but speeds are bad on P2P... also getting up to 60% packet loss to international sites :(
AfriGreen has been useless for the last 3 weeks on anything that ISNT browsing and streaming - N O O I T :(

P2P does not work, neither account :( Had something odd happen though on Afrigreen, my Torrents were downloading at 100MB/s, and the test files I was using, all worked 100%, odd how my telephone line is only 10Mb/s

The message is clearly marked as both DSL and Mobile Data, so it would go to the same text (since it is repeated). I have definitely understood you clearly. When I click on read more, the red message is underneath the older message but definitely easy to find and visible for me. Like I said though, I am happy to pass the feedback onto the website designers if improvements can be made. CMS functionality is limited, so I think it's always possible that we hit those limitations with multiple status messages open at the same time.

The important thing is that the message is out there and is kept as current as possible, and we'll try to spread that message as widely as we can.

It is not as clear as you might think. Otherwise I would not be getting the calls from my clients.
I drew you a pretty picture to explain.

That's weird, not sure it's physically possible, maybe some kind of misreport or something. I see it sometimes on speedtest as well :(

One has to click on "read more" then to Western Cape then scroll to middle of the page to find the notice regarding today's outage ;)

Afriman - perhaps request your website admin to look at the date orders of the notices and ensure that they are sequential? May assist with the overload of calls and enquiries here - I missed it first time too.

So do you agree then that it's not displaying correctly :) Just say yes.
From your earlier responses I got the impression you were trying to justify it.

It's not ideal, but what I was saying is that it's a limitation in the CMS due to having multiple messages opened. It's probably doing it correctly in terms of the way it was designed. It could be better, but I don't think that's something we could change until we redo the entire website at some point in the future. I highly doubt that once we move networks we will ever have need for multiple ADSL notices at the same time ever again :)

We tried changing the dates, even closing the older notices, it's clearly something it was not designed for. When we've cleared all these open messages, it should go back to the way it always worked :)

anyone have a reason as to what happened to the network?

We're told that it was a network outage that affected the part of the core network that the IPC is linked to. So the IPC itself was actually fine, just had no network attached to it during the outage.

That's probably super simplified, but should give you the basic idea :)

That's exactly my point. I also eventually got to it after noticing the scrollbar.
A blind bat should be able to find this info without searching.

OOoOoOooH, love the confidence you have for the new network(leaving the past in the past :p) and hope this won't come back to bite you ;)

Haha, forward is the only way to move! There probably will be issues in the future, but this time it's all us. If we mess up, at least I will be able to give you guys the full story when it happens. Just that is progress in my eyes :)

This opens a can or proverbial worms - why the lack of transparency 'till now then?
Apologies if this has been asked and answered elsewhere before.

All the best for the migration by the way, looking forward to improved performance and holding you to your word ;)

Don't misunderstand me, our intention has always to be transparent. The frustration has been working via other parties and not getting information to clients as quickly as we'd like. Also, with complex issues like traffic and routing, it wasn't always possible to give quick answers. Now that we have direct control, we can let you know what we know, which will be a lot more at any given time.
