Afrihost Business Uncapped Feedback - Part 3

Eh why bother. Afrigreen going great so I'm happy. Something definitely wasn't right on the business account though. I checked my network activity while I tried to stream and it wouldn't pull in more than 1.2Mbps. After switching to Afrigreen it showed full utilisation of the connection.

I'll try some tests on my end too, using the regular accounts, see if I can spot anything :)

I've cancelled and I'm on Vox Fatpipe 300GB. Running very smooth. When the Afrihost network has been sorted out let me know and I'll monitor it for a while and switch back if it is stable.

Sorry to hear you're cancelling with us :( Have you tried Afrigreen to see if the experience is better there?

Is there an issue this morning, I cant download anything from overseas sites and only a few local sites are working.
Just getting "ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT" on all overseas sites.

Same here - no international sites seem to open.

Pretoria.

And why is it necessary for your customers to come to mybb to find out that your network is YET AGAIN broken?

NOTHING on your web site about the issue, as per normal...

You have zero international connectivity is cpt.... Truly a wonderful, world class service that you're providing....

Also having serious network issues to most international sites - I'm in JHB

Also looks like my Afrigreen account is disabled for some reason..

Same issue on my Afrihost 3G. Maybe an MTN issue?

Agree - nothing about this on website's network status section and when you try and contact support there are so many people in the call queue it seems to be a general problem.

Welcome to Afrihost, their network status page is a joke, it's never up to date ... 30 minutes into this issue and according to it everything is just wonderful while everything in Cape Town is down.

International traffic down since around 8. I'm in Cape Town. Afrihost website not mentioning a word about it; I had to check a forum page on a 3de party site (MyBB) strange practices but never the less hope it gets fixed soon.

It's looking like more of a general connectivity issue than an Afrihost specific one.

I agree though that they should have some sort of notice up.

Down at 7:41 already... The first hour of productivity is already gone. I guess they're still "investigating" whether indeed there is a issue or not, seeing that they can't even be bothered to inform their customers about it...

Same here. CPT southern suburbs. no intl sites will load and only a few local. Why do I have to come to Mybb to find this out?

called the helpline and I was caller number 131:wtf: Feel sorry for the call centre peeps.

And the poor call center agents don't know any more then us "We are investigating" I guess would be default response and a slew of insults follow :P
Think it's back up "touch wood"

Morning guys

Looks like there was a problem with MTN's international links. I don't have much detail but it seems like something has been restored but it may be a failover or temporary solution.

I'll give more details as I get them.

Why would i ever want to move away from afrihost with speeds like these .
id be crazy !

40 mins and counting to run a speed test lol
