Sorry about this :(
The East looks to be the busiest region at the moment.

6Mb Business.

If anyone at AH even remotely thinks this is is any way acceptable, please point them out to me.
But at the end of this month I will have to pay the full price for this rubbish.....

Afri-whoever, compensation is in order for those of us who sat with this for the last month, and in my case, the last two months.

I'm afraid I can't comment/ action compensation at this stage. It's something that's generally up to the Directors.

Normal international speed is usually the same as local. But since the day before the IOS updates international has been bad and 99% of the time I use international sites, downloads etc.

Could you PM me your DSL username? I'd like to have some more tests done.
International speedtest will be slower than local though, especially to the USA.

Please provide us with the directors emails, so we can find out what Afrihoist plan to do, or are you willing to lose all your customers? How can I have speeds of 1Mbps on an uncapped 8Mbps Business account, and you charge me the full price? Were can a company not provide its core service and still expect full payment?

The degraded speeds should not be consistent.
I know it's extremely frustrating having to deal with a slow connection but we're doing everything we can, as well as providing all the feedback we have available.

Drop me a PM if you'd like to discuss a few more things around the current speed concerns.

But it is not a slow connection, it is a slow product. And let's face it, the feedback you have available is just as woefully deficient as your bandwidth capacity.

My personal opinion, it seems as if Afrihost is just getting worse every week that passes.
Afrihost need to come clean, they do not have enough IPC and international bandwidth for their current subscribers. And as Telkom progress with the VDSL roll out it will only get worse if more capacity it not added or a proper contention system is in place. Currently when Afrihosts network is under strain latency shoots up and kills the internet.
I hope Gain and Co. Monitor this thread because I have a month left and if I don't see an improvement soon I will be pushing cancel in ClientZone.....

Things definitely shouldn't be getting worse, we're seeing incremental changes leaning towards positive results on the network. All the threads and feedback is monitored, we know things aren't great :(

AfriGuy please don't take it personally. It is just my opinion and was not meant to be derogative. I have seen latency issues on the Afrihost network everyday for the past two weeks. And thought you guys would have sorted it out by now. It is fair to say many of us have shown great patience, but at some point we have draw the line. And mine was today when latency to local servers was over 400ms+ for half the day.
