There was no option on that survey to day you don't want it at all. So the numbers will say the lowest amount based on the survey
 
Ok, it doesn't want to Authenticate now and it seems AfriSupport has gone home!

youtube is stuttering horribly on my capped afrihost account.

We definitely saw some poor performance on YouTube, I did as well. We don't know what the cause could be just yet, but we're definitely going to look into this ASAP.
 
What does the Telkom freeze entail? Does the freeze including installations?

I only ask as im moving in the next month or 2

Telkom essentially don't do any major network changes (especially upgrades, IPC and the like). I am not 100% sure that all work stops, I think some basic fault finding and automated processes still run.

So are we allowed to freeze payments too :) I bet you the accounts and the cutoffs continue to work, you just wont be able to get put back on till the freeze is over.

I replied to the mail with UNSUBSCRIBE in the subject line, I doubt this will do anything.

I'm going to mark every mail from him now as spam in Gmail.
 
I got a 4+4gb account this month as crystalweb is failing hard...

So is the 25% packetloss common for this capped product?

So I would say yes, I also see that it is an either or situation, if you have 3G and ADSL only one of them will remain on Double Data. At this stage I am not sure if I am going to quit afrihost entirely or just reduce my ADSL bandwidth and cancel the 3G data, seeing as MTN has only GPRS speeds wherever I have needed to use 3G.

Has the billing cycle begun? Can people still cancel today?

Nope states in the clientzone 25th of the month. So if u didn't do it yesterday, u will need to wait till next month

The decision as to whether or not Double Data is ending for Mobile and ADSL Capped data has not yet been made at this point, we'll probably find out in early December. As soon as I find out, I will let you guys know.

The launch of Plus+ does not automatically mean Double Data ends, Plus+ is meant to be a product that adds value to all of your Afrihost accounts. The Double Top-up alone almost makes the account worth it, and after using Simfy for a few weeks, I am happily using Plus+.

EDIT: I should also point out, Plus+ has a free trial month, so you guys are welcome to test it out, then cancel it immediately.

I did not get the email. Did I complain too much when my 40 Mb line was going at .5 Mb?

Not at all!

We send out the mails from Gian in batches, so it may take a few hours before you receive it, you should also see the message in your Clientzone by now.
