Mine's better now too.
Anyone know how YouTube was fine throughout all of that? Despite everything else being almost dead.
No idea, Youtube was one of the sites I didn't check.
not DSL related, but for those who dont visit the announcment thread, a great man has passed on. Sad day indeed on MYBB

Is there a problem on international, the speed are currently atrocious? I'm on an unshaped capped ADSL account.

What speeds do you normally get internationally?
The same as the local one. I noticed it starts deteriorating around 7pm and gets worse from there.
You really shouldn't get the same speed. Since it is an international speed test you are by default going to become subject to 170 - 200 ms distance latency, so the speed you are getting on what looks like to be a 8 Mbps line is fairly common since it is international traffic.
I am not saying that there isn't an issue on your side, I am just saying that it is normal to get a worse result when doing a speed test to international servers.
Have you tried going a ping test or traceroute?
I understand it's normal to get a worse result, however getting less than 1Mb/s is far from being normal. The variance in speed is usually at most around 1Mb/s. If the issue occurs again tonight I will do a trace and post it here, but it's quite clear there is an issue on the international link somewhere and not on my end.
I hear what you are saying. Please send me a ping test and traceroute and we'll see what is going on.
Here we go again, third night in a row. Please investigate as there is clearly an issue here that is on your network.

Trace complete.
Your trace looks pretty healthy - not too concerned about the timeouts since it's pretty consistent other wise. We're definitely seeing good international speeds in general - but I'll check with our NOC team if they're seeing any funnies on our side![]()
Please do because it's 7pm and international is once again down the toilet...
