Well done to those that have their devices. For those still waiting, I'm really, really sorry. We're trying to send out as many as we can before September 6th.

Is the 6th not the absolute latest delivery date as promised anymore?

The idea is that delivery should take about 5mins, you giving the docs, signing, etc. But sometimes, the courier has to go look for a person, wait for a meeting to be over, etc, that takes up some time, they could end up spending 30 mins at one place, that affects 4 other people getting their packages on time. They are trying their best.

Sorry guys.

1 hour to go

Oh don't worry. It's not even close :D

Mine's been delayed by over 4h30 already. Now I must sit and wait.
A friend leaves the office at 4-ish usually (delivery address). It's now due at 18.45 :/

Ok! Called MDS in Cape Town. Was told that delivery will happen between 6-10pm tonight, guaranteed! So that's good.

Yussie, okes... the poor courier chaps are swamped. Here's this soul, the black bin on his bike still chock full of Afrihost parcels at 13:30 in the afternoon, asking me for directions to his next delivery because he's either not supplied with a GPS or he doesn't know how to operate it.

And, after giving explicit instructions that I be phoned when the courier arrives because we do not have an outside intercom, he arrives without either a cellphone or my number. If I hadn't gone outside because the dogs went ballistic I 'spose I would've received some soppy we-tried-but-failed notice from the courier company.

Chaps, I realise you've brought a logistic nightmare on yourselves, but piss poor show in some aspects... I trust using the MiFi will be a more pleasant experience.

Boys - next time Minister Carrim misses a deadline and you whine about broken promises - remember this moment.
Sounds like Afrihost and the courier company are doing thier best, but the deadline and volume was seriously underestimated.

Spoke to them now. If no delivery today, I'll contact them and then they'll cancel the delivery & I can go collect from their depo.

Number 8 in the queue at the moment :)
No for the "patience" part

And add the list of the idiots who haven't had their RICA documents ready [this now excluding the guys who had no idea they're pitching up, but seriously, I had my documents ready the moment I ordered].
