Afrihost Mobile Delivery Feedback Thread

Ai, quite a few Stellenbosch guys got their goodies yesterday. I thought they would bundle the stuff together...

My packages are "en-route" since yesterday, so perhaps we get lucky today.

Im in stellenbosch and received a phone call this morning to say the delivery will take place before 12pm... So i guess the next hour should be happy hour.... hopefully..... (still waiting)...

Who ever has mine still has not contacted me via email so I can give then and updated contact number because I have no signal in a mine so they need to phone on the landline but still waiting. They phones me once when I was at a place with signal told the guy to send me an email with the waybill and contact details so I can update them on my new details.

MDS delivered finally by motorbike and the driver didn't have a GPS navigation or anything that explains why he couldn't find my whereabouts. He passed my house and I whistled at him. Look and behold inside his box there were probably about 50 MiFI devices still to be delivered and the driver told me there is still a big backlog

I sincerely hope Afrihost learned a lesson with MDS; they are pathetic if they missed it. **** happens; it's how you deal with it that matters. I find myself without Interwebs and no communication. That is the infuriating part.

@Anonymous They should have outsourced to a couple of courier companies that way everyone has a slice of the pie. If they dispatch a driver to you and there is no GPS or distance then your delivery is probably coming via third party/motorbike and keep your eyes peeled or else the driver will just carry on with destination.

I spent about R30 or so to try and get glory to see when they are going to delivery my package, now I am waiting for Mobile three simcard to arrive. I am sure the turnaround time will be end of the month or to make matters worse next month

In that case, well done with managing to make this post!

Agreed! MDS might be in need of someone with a strong Quantitative Management background. Routing and Network optimization is basic Second Year subtopics!

Black magic Viva! Black magic. (Or more like work Interwebs powered that post ;))

In clientzone how long does it take to change from en-route to delivered ? @AfriGuy @AfriMan

It depends on how quickly the couriers update their systems, it'll happen soon though :)
As long as you have it we're happy.

Received mine today. Tested at the office and worked great. No coverage at home though :(
