Afrihost Mobile Delivery Feedback Thread

Due to the HUGE demand for this product from Afrihost, we will inform you, via email, the day before delivery will occur.

;(

I was one of the first to order and pay, and ... -_-

Just checked my status:

Collivery ******* Status is : Delivery Driver Dispatched
Requested delivery before 16:00 on 26 August
Estimated time of delivery is 17:46 on 26 August
Driver is currently 3.03 Km from delivery point.

I live about 3km from my work, and the status says 3.03km from delivery point (which is my work address). And if I look at the current time (15:13) and the estimate time of delivery (17:46), it doesn't make sense... It takes me 5 mins to get to work...

This on-the-fly delivery status report is somehow not right.

EDIT:
Every minute that passes by the estimated time increases but the km to delivery point stays the same. Either the driver is stuck in traffic or this tracker is wonky...I'm guessing the latter is true.

Afrihost, I hope you're monitoring the situation. This is not looking good for when you do go live in September.

Phoned them and they said tomorrow despite them saying on Friday and this morning it will be today
I am also getting this, Lol don't have to eat my hat now. LOok I don't mind if you drop it off a week later but just don't **** with the dates. some of us take time off or make arrangements for the courier then they change the dates

Me too. Was in the first 1000 and paid immediately. Seems to be a First in Last Out delivery queue. :(

how is your signal

Phoned in this morning at 8am to request that they phone me before delivery as i was at Uni. Failed to phone me and i arrived 15minutes to late, delivery failed. Find this in extremely poor taste as i made arrangements with them and they failed to follow up on it. Spoke to MDS and their only /response/ was to say that "they have thousands of these things to deliver and thus can't promise when it will be delivered". Sigh, extremely annoyed and pissed off with MDS, considering at looking at what my next form of "action" against this company will be wrt failure of notification.

Be nice when their accounts refund the overcharge, how many tickets do I need to send, R1096 is a tad more than R145....just saying.
Yeh I had two orders but one was cancelled, not cool to overcharge and stuff up my card.:erm:

I planned my whole day after I received that email from collivery. Not impressed.

Have they announced the twitter winners yet?

They are being contacted directly on Twitter (DM), then you get emailed with a request for ID and photo etc, with a date and time to respond by, so there are probably still a few winners to be chosen, not sure.

Heads up, the data is valid until the end of September.

So I plug the mifi device into the computer to do some setup and the following sms is waiting for me:

Congratulations!! Your Mobile Won R175,000 in 2013 Yearly Rica Promotions, Ref/no:012NYP to Claim Your Prize Contact Mrs.Lerato Mbau on:[withheld to protect the daft fools who'll think this is real]

Since I already won the United Nations lottery twice last week I won't need to respond to this as well

Thanks Afrihost and MDS. Excellent service.

Logistic's must be a nightmare I am sure that can not please everyone! Best is to call and follow up continually. If you follow the tracking on the MDS site they even tell you an approximate delivery time as well as how many Km's they are from your delivery address.

I was in the last 1000 and received mine already. Just plain logistics.
