Afrihost Mobile Delivery Feedback Thread

The Afripeople really went all out on this it seems. :D

Even the little 8GB things.

Still have to play around with the Mifi device, but it looks like something I might continue using for quite some time. If the everybody has a similar experience I had from ordering until receiving it then I cannot see this campaign doing too badly for AH. I know some people are waiting (courier related?) etc, but honestly if you're a client and ordered through their Clientzone the whole process was painless.

Congrats to the AH team.

To the guys moaning: Afrihost promised delivery on 3/4 September. When they breach that then you can moan. Just be patient FFS.....

I am away in the Kruger Park and had to tell the courier to come back next week. That is life. Build a bridge!!!

No problem with Afrihosts promised delivery - however when I get sent notification with a delivery today and need to reschedule my program to be available to receive the item due to the RICA requirements and then to be dropped is frustrating. To then be informed by the courier company that they can no longer provide any indication of when the item they have collected from Afrihost will be delivered is to my mind unacceptable service.

Enjoy your visit to Kruger - part of my problem is that I was hoping to leave to for Kruger on Wednesday - which is likely to now cause at least a two week delay in getting the product.

Those are nice. Just don't use it too vigorously, they tend to get hot and warp.

MY status has now been updated to the same - after initially (from Saturday to earlier this afternoon) showing delivery before 16h00 today - and with Johan from MDS Collivery confirming they have received the package from Afrihost.

Yeeeah. Not sure from which tree you fell out of. When a company says the parcel will be delivered on this day and you need to be there, which results in you rescheduling your day, only to find out they cocked up with the delivery. Is not acceptable in any way whatsoever. Almost at the point where i want MDS to pay for the product now as i am thoroughly annoyed with their disgusting service. Never been treated like that over the phone, feel like laying a complaint with the board with their shocking phone skills.

They must have mine also then too since Afrihosts tracking said so on Friday...

That courier company is really amateur hour. Emailing me on Friday and Saturday what I need to have ready on Friday but then not emailing me when they won't deliver although they know they won't, wasting telephone calls to their less than helpful call centre.

Nothing wrong with the couriers they used. Maybe communication and follow up were lacking. ;)

I suppose I did generalise in my earlier post...

If the couriers gave a delivery date and did not meet it then I totally understand the frustration.... but there are some on here moaning that their orders are still not shipped...... those are to whom my rant was aimed at.

I would imagine the weakest link in this whole thing will be the courier as I am sure they are a low cost outfit to keep overall "out the box" costs low to limit the initial launch losses.....

Ok I still don't have it even. But it is ok wasn't expecting it before 3/4 September eitherway.

For our R145 do we get 5gb expiring end August or expiring end Sept? My appologies, but 30 odd pages is a lot to go through.

Nothing wrong with the couriers. I got a initial e-mail stating delivery would be tomorrow 27th before 16h00. I send a mail back that I will be out of the office and this morning I got e-mail I will receive it today. I went to their tracking site and saw that they are enroute and when I checked again it said that they are 3.92 km's from my address and delivery will be approximate @ 15:07 so I called them and asked them to give me feedback where the driver is and they confirmed that he will be at my place @ 13h00. He was there on time and I received my goods.
