Afrihost Mobile Delivery Feedback Thread

Deliveries are a goddamned disaster. Went from the 25th to yesterday, to now being stuck in the same twilight zone of the driver apparently being stuck within a kilometre from me. To boot, the estimated delivery time goes up by 10 minutes every time I check... should I stop refreshing the page?

I understand the logistics must be a nightmare, but I can spend days on end in one spot waiting for a driver who supposedly won't hand anything over to anyone but me.

Got mine 25 minutes ago. Recieved an sms that delivery would be today, luckily I was at the location I gave, just wondering what the point was of putting in a special instruction for a call before the delivery to confirm a time, so that I could ensure to be there - needless to say there was no call so it was pure luck that I was there at the time.
 
What an epic f up, saw an MDS truck outside building, expecting it to be for me... nope! and I was one of the 4000 pre orders.
 
Got mine. Stellenbosch. My colleague in another building has not received his yet.

Friend of mine, some guys in his building got and others in his building is still waiting. He's one of the still waiting group :D

My etd has moved from 11.23 to 14.18 now already, since 10am :/
 
Just got mine! The driver called before and made sure that I have all the documents ready.

Sigh. Not really...just practicing for when...IF...it actually happens. :o
 
Got mine as well. Delivery says 8km and estimate in a hour and half so that is no reliable. They phone me on my cell at least when they were at the complex gate so they are not that stupid.
 
Mine still says "Status is : Processing Order"

It's pretty frustrating. I ordered in the 1st batch of 1000 and the people that were not with Afrihost that I sent the referral email to got theirs 2 days ago already.

I eventually phoned MDS and asked if I can come and pick it up and the guy said they don't allow that anymore as nothing is sorted and it takes to long to look for a specific device.
 
Well done to those that have their devices. For those still waiting, I'm really, really sorry. We're trying to send out as many as we can before September 6th.
