At home I get this, 20Mb on MTN 3G

At work, which is 1km away I get Edge if I'm lucky.

Yeah, location is a huge factor. At home you might be the only MTN subscriber - in a CBD there could be kazillions. Even though there may be better coverage, but the demand makes it harder to get the same speeds you do at home.

Work and home is in La Lucia, so chances are there are a lot of people on MTN here :D

Still waiting for LTE to be enabled on my Afrihost nano sim, tried last night and still can't log onto the LTE network. Hopefully this week that will happen, you said in the PM it probably won't happen over the weekend.

Get 10MB/s on the MiFi device at home. Get 6MB/s on my HTC One X using the APN choice. Was getting 0.8MB/s with my old provider. Very happy.

Don't have any need for a SIM-Only solution, but Afrihost has my business for the foreseeable future via the APN offering - smart move to offer that as well.
