I recently got a sim from afrihost for LTE through MTN I have put into into my my router(Huawei b618s-22d) one of the approved routers.
Whenever I got to set up the APN for afrihost it automatically sets a password, user and password needs to be blank to access the service(it is a 8 letter black dots password)

Has anybody run into this issue and can provide assistance.

Sincerely Kyle

Just clear the field and save. Your browser is inserting the admin password for the router.

Have tried and cleared and have done so on 2 different devices, even tried to enter my own password it just auto sets it to that 8 digit code.

It should not make a difference after saving the settings. The browser just autofills it. If you cleared it and saved it will not affect the connection at all.

I had the same router and same issue with that autofill. Never affected my connectivity after saving APN settings after clearing the password field.

Thanks for the response, the issues is I have not gotten a connection to the internet and that seems to be the problem since the SIM is not been authorised because of it.

Have tried the only time it authorised was when I set it up in my phone, but then it was suspended by MTN because my phone was not an authorised device(it has been unsuspended since) and I don't have another router to try it on.
